WE WERE BRILLIANT AGAINST VILLA!

The boo boys were having a great time around me getting stuck in to first Caceido and then Gelson. These are two young players learning their trade in a foreign place, in the best and fastest league in the world. Not that I think Gelson is necessarily good enough or that Big Phil has the sense to make it [most stupid handball of the season], but why discourage them? Clearly, they were the best available at the time and so there it is.

It's amazing, isn't it, how some people detest the very idea of happiness.

Yeah they tried last night but it just didn't come off for them, the Vassell's of the City support if you will, which has a lovely touch of irony about it.

You location always reminds me of my favourite View song ['football in the rain...']. Should be a chant if there was any musical justice [Face for the Radio, obviously].

im sure all teams have their boo boys..i remember travelling to ipswich and the bloke in front moaned all the way there..moaned when they ran out onto the pitch and moaned all the way back..ended 1-1

walking back to the car after the game I heard the following moans from people.......

SWP's finshing is not good enough

Ireland's finishing is not good enough

Given should have caught all the crosses he punched

Caciedo is shite

Fernandes is shite

Bridge is shite (and a waste of money)

Hughes should not have brought on a forward (Boj) for a midfielder (Elano) when we were only 1 up

Dunne and Ned just hoof the ball as far as they can

Bellamy is too injury prone (and won't play again this season)

makes you think why some people bother?

I'll agree with that actually, over the past two games SWP's finishing (altho i kno he's scored one) has lacked confidence.

Ireland looks to pass more than shoot.

Caicedo didnt hold the ball up well enough last night & Fernandes is a headless chicken in my eyes...I'm not surei i agree with young and inexperienced comment Danny, the lads 22 and has international experience. Zabaleta/Kompany/De Jong are 24,22,24...it's just they're much better players.

True Komapny is a fantastic young talent though, there's not many better them him at such a young age, but Gelson is his understudy. He's a very good squad player and I've seen improvements in him during his short spell at the club.

I'll sum up the punditary form MOTD, "So a win for City there but Villa have had a long season...Now Wigan took on West Ham tonight....."

Excellent prformance, the football we played wad terrific, villa couldnt cope with, elano, ireland, swp all inter changing, We dominated midfield with kompany and de jong, its a pitty de jong had to come off, he was excellent. Very happy with that performance.
