If Aalborg weren't so poor we would of lost the tie in 90 mins. There is no excuse in taking a 2-0 lead to Aalborg and scraping through on pens. I am neither in the Hughes out or Hughes in brigade, i just don't think he is good enough and have said many times before i am willing to be proved wrong even thouugh deep down i know i won't be.
With the players he has at his disposal there is no excuses in what happend tonight, i wasn't expecting an easy game, or a win but i was expecting us to get the job done in 90mins and there is no one but Hughes to blame for that.

i can't see what Hughes did wrong if I'm honest.
He picked the players he had available to him.. played them in their correct positions and made the correct substitutions.
He was let down by poor performances from City players, namely Richards, SWP and Ireland who were all terrible..
He has a replacement left back who is like Manuel from faulty towers

Seems a little poor to have not killed them off, but man would I hate if I was judged daily by some of you witless gibbons. All this "tactics obviously crap" bollox - must be a whole load of ex-pros or high end amatuers posting on these boards, that they all have such an exacting knowledge of how to go about things running a football team playing in the 2nd tier of european football. Some of the analysis about substituions is laughable - a slackjawed yokel dribbling on his shoes when he see's "heads" show up when someone flips and mutters "damn, should've called tails..." Genius.
Yeah our away form is crap, but given stability and long term solutions as opposed to some of the no-alternative "NOT HIM" brigade - sure you same fucking idiots will still be parping on about the NEXT guy when he loses a couple of games or doesnt have us winning every game within 6 months. A new manager every year until we win things seems to our fate if you braying donkeys have your way.
