this is not violent conduct mate. he didnt strike or spit at the opponent. it comes down to interpretation, but most refs wouldnt send off a player for this. and im not talking shite as you so nicely put it

I dunno, maybe you're right but if so the rules need looking at. Hauling somebody up forcibly and pulling them about by the collar of their shirt is really no different to grabbing them by the neck and throwing them to the floor.
