Weight loss jabs

State of this thread.
Fat fuckers wanting injections paid for by the taxpayer cos they're too lazy to walk a couple of miles a day or eat less cake/ kebab/ chips etc.
I'm not the fittest or slimmest but I know its in my hands if I want to change, and I certainly wouldn't expect anyone else to pay for it.
No wonder the country is fucked if this is seen as acceptable.
Promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage exercise instead of funding shite like this.

It always makes me wonder about the excessive skin after such weight loss.
That is the negative side. Also the additional wrinkles can age someone. The solution is obviously surgery to remove the excess skin but then it is a vanity project carried out privately and not under the NHS obviously . I am so pleased for my Mrs with the amount of weight loss and how much more positive she now is about herself and her appearance with new outfits etc. If she wants surgery, which will be entirely her decision, then fortunately, we are in a position to afford it.

If someone starts on these jabs do they have to take them for life ?
Just wondered if someone stops taking it after they've hit their ideal weight, do they put it all back on again ?
Obviously it’s a fairly new treatment at the moment and under NHS I think they are allowing it for 2 years.
Mentality is supposed to kick in when someone comes off it but I am not sure those who qualify for it at the moment under the NHS (the really serious cases) and the lifestyle they probably lead, means they will probably slip back in to old habits.
My other half intends to stay on it long term under private prescription and hopes to start adjusting the dosage downwards when she reaches her goal weight.
I was listening to a radio programme the other week where a scientist in the know, seemed to think we are only about 10 years away from developing a pill which everyone will take that covers many ailments including obesity.
It won’t make us necessarily live longer but will relive a lot of pain and suffering we tend to get as we get older and give us a better quality of live whilst we are alive.

I pay for it you plank. Fuck all to do with the homeless.
Have you noticed..the moral high grounders, holier than thou’s, always choose emotive examples doctors, nurses, homeless, etc, instead of saying it could be used for more prison places, deportations etc, when lecturing people on where they should be spending their own money.

Stop eating the processed junk that's sold in the supermarkets and prepare your own food like we used to. I did that a few years ago and lost 2 stone, it's that simple.

It’s been in the news that GP’s can now provide you with these through prescription starting today.
My local GP (in Blackley) has received so many calls & appointments that they have had to send out a text (see below)
In Lancashire they started the rollout on 23rd June, but have set the bar really high to deter takeup. The government want to be seen to be tackling the fat endemic, but don't wish to actually pay out. Lancashire say that you have to have a bmi of 40+ with 4 out of 5 ailments including heart disease and sleep apnea. Maybe a bmi of 40+ with 1 ailment such as hypertension or cholesteral would have been a better start point.

Food and sugar is a drug to many, and addiction throughout our country is rife. The problem with food is you cant just go cold turkey as you'll end up a little gaunt.

Being a veteran of Youtube I have seen most of the videos doing the rounds, and the results appear to speak for themselves. I dont think it's for me as I dont like pricks, and am also as tight as a ducks arse when it comes to eschewing value. I'll spend ridiculously if the values there, but at the moment the pharmacuticals are dishing out their vicious spankings and having us all over for fat lads. This will change as the patents expire (not the patients expire) but until then, if people are interested in having a dabble, then try to keep your costings low.

Lots of suppliers out there so do the sums. Hopefully this may help.

You will be starting off by taking 2.5mg to titillate the body, then moved up to 5mg, 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12mg, and 15mg. Many people are finding that 7.5mg or 10mg works just fine for them to quell hunger or what they call "food noise"
If you are still getting food noise then move the dose up and see how you pan out.

You can save money after a while by using the Golden Dose. The pharmacuticals put extra in the vials for priming and this can be injected with a separate syringe saving around £45 in the process. One second ... I'm feeling faint.

Descriptor from the fat old climber of the Golden Dose.

Each pen affordes 4 injections of 0.6ml of whatever strength you are on. You can however make a pen last two months and acheive more value for money. Each dose equates to 60 clicks of the primer pen so if you are happy with 7.5mg then simply buy 15mg and turn the primer 30 times to half the dose. Instead of 4 doses you will get 8 doses saving £180. You will have to buy additional pen needles but these are for pennies. If I used mounjaro then this is what I would do as I abhor waste and always strive to achieve equilibrium and value. I am not persay tight, as I will spend my monkey freely if I want something, but neither will I piss it away if its outraaaaagously overpriced.

An interesting watch below from an ordinary guy who has struggled with his weight throughout his adult life. Not a lazy individual by any stretch of the imagination, as he lives for the great outdoors and climbing and knows how much weight is hampering him. As he admits, he was ridiculusly addicted to binging on sugar and shite. Its a drug to some people for sure, and I am no exception, as I can happily nail a pack of biscuits with a slab o' chocolate chaser in one sitting whilst my eyes gleefully roll into the back of my head.

Grafted all my life and always been a tubster, and at my heaviest hitting 17 stone. I do an hour a day on an excersise bike and walk 2 hours daily as im no longer grafting and need to burn Kcal but wouldn't describe myself as lazy.

Maybe this dual purpose drug that reduces appetite and keeps food in the gut for longer is a game changer for people who constantly hunger for more, and it should be given out on the nhs with more relaxed criteria. We think nothing of give smackheads drinks of methadone everyday or helping alchololics with rehab and meds so why not the tubsters?

I think these injections will work for those that have previously struggled, but the million dollar question is what will happen when they come off them. Maybe they will have learned better eating habits excersise and food control on their journey and will be able to cope when the drug is withdrawn.

I vote for weight loss meds, but you'd have to pop them into tablet form before I took up the gauntlet. I dont like sharps of any decriptor and all down to flashbacks from my time in the 70's cod wars as we swung over the side to board icelandic gun boats with cutlass to mouth . Nobody mentions the cod war like they do the Falklands and www2, so I guess im resigned to be one of Britains forgotton warriors. Quite suprising as due to the selfless action from heroes like me, it allows us all to enjoy a nice fish supper in town.
,
A very good watch of the fat old climbers six month progress on Moujaro.

It's alright mate because those "foreign fuckers" get everything so why shouldn't they.

I lost nearly 6 stone a few years ago. 5/2 fasting and a lot of exercise. Cardio, swimming and weights. Calorie counted and got a better handle on what was actually in food. Was hard work but worth it. I actually felt too thin so have put a bit back on and feel better for it. If you take on less calories than you burn off you will lose weight.

The jabs feel like a short cut but without the lifestyle changes you will be needing to not take them forever. Personally I wouldn’t want to do that but I understand why others might

90 quid a jab is peanuts compared to the healthy and economic costs of obesity

And they believe they should get it for free before the homeless get homed.

Until I read this thread, I never realise how many perfect people there are on Bluemoon. Well, perfect apart from the nosebleeds from being up there on the moral high ground.

If you take the jab surely you have to implement a healthy lifestyle to stay 'slim' long term. Why not just make the lifestyle changes in the first place?
