I rate Welbeck, good young english player with a bright future but he hardly had stood out in a poor sunderland side last year and to compare him to Mario right now is stupid. Mario is better now and still has bags more potential than Welbeck.

Mourinho also said that he could be the best player in the world if he applied himself, would he say that about Welbeck?
No, your talking through your arse

Where's he said that?

Like I said your talking through your are, shut the door on your way out.

What ego's that?

And what has Fergie said about Balotelli?

Your mate Mourinho seems to echo what I've said about him:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3072874/Jose-Mourinho-warns-Manchester-City-over-Mario-Balotelli.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... telli.html</a>

But what does Mourinho know?

Well, sorry but you clearly have some sort of intra-personal problem. it's usually an ego. I've got absolutely no problem in saying

"Rooney, Ronaldo and Fergie are world class players." However, I equally confess that Balotelli is great.

I mean seriously, what kind of person says "Balotelli isn't a talent" when the opposite phrase is ubiquitous?!?!?!

Seriously, every city fan on this forum will know every time Balotelli is mentioned you WILL hear the phrase "Balotelli's an amazing talent but he's got personality problems" (the latter of which is being amended.

Deep down I'm sure you know Balotelli is extremely talented. Just for once be a realist and not be idealistic. It won't make you an idiot; everyone has done it.

Okay. But if that's the case, why did he have him on the bench?

And you've failed to answer my question about Fergie for the second time. What has he said about him please?

Everyone on the forum could think he was the greatest of all time, but the reality of it is that most of them don't have a fucking clue and that's being polite. One user even described him as being the 'third best player in the world'. I'm sorry, but a person like that does not and will not ever understand the game if they are of that view.

I've played with and against Welbeck and obviously at that level, he was a monster purely because of his athleticism. At this level, along with Balotelli, they're both pretty ordinary.

Balotelli has Welbeck's athleticism but when he cuts in on his right, Balotelli has one of the best shots in the game. Other than that, if you consider the importance of first touch and being able to pass, that's not enough - they're both substandard. They obviously have a certain bit of talent, but the game's no longer about athlete's. You can cheat the stats for a while, but you'll eventually get found out. Balotelli's lucky he has somebody who has a lot of faith in him in Mancini. I don't think many other top level managers would want anything to do with him.

What Welbeck has over Balotelli is reliability, work-rate and probably intelligence (though by no means is he a clever player), all drummed into him from being brought up in England.

Welbeck's more of a man as well, but Balotelli is more talented.
Watch Balo in the box, he's certainly got intelligence as a striker, in abundance. He knows when to run neear post, when to go far post, and the amounts of times i see him sprint then stop for the cut back whilst his marker carrys running is countless.

I don't want to say you're talking shit, but, you are

Wellbeck is faster, fitter, much more skillfull, more accurate, richer and way more handsome than mario!

What we need is a REAL comparison like Cleverley v Silva.

Yeah, agree with you more, we're getting somewhere.

Firstly, Let us not forget that Balotelli is 21 and still progressing. His situation about being on the bench was merely to impose some professionalism and consistency in his game. Also, Berbatov has been on the bench incessantly this season, Tevez has started only 1 game. You get the picture.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1373604/Wayne-Rooney-Mario-Balotelli-grow-says-Alex-Ferguson.html look there.

Yeah, I do concede that like any other forum, there are people who know screw all about football. Balotelli certainly isn't yet the third best player in the world. However, that's not the point. I'm saying he has the potential to become a true great. A king. An intelligent one at that.

P.S. With regards to his intelligence, if you were to compile a list of top center-forwards, he'd certainly be in the superior range.
