Wellbeck is faster, fitter, much more skillfull, more accurate, richer and way more handsome than mario!

What we need is a REAL comparison like Cleverley v Silva.

Class post
I agree i actually burst out laughing at that post! So thank you!

I've played with and against Welbeck and obviously at that level, he was a monster purely because of his athleticism. At this level, along with Balotelli, they're both pretty ordinary.

Balotelli has Welbeck's athleticism but when he cuts in on his right, Balotelli has one of the best shots in the game. Other than that, if you consider the importance of first touch and being able to pass, that's not enough - they're both substandard. They obviously have a certain bit of talent, but the game's no longer about athlete's. You can cheat the stats for a while, but you'll eventually get found out. Balotelli's lucky he has somebody who has a lot of faith in him in Mancini. I don't think many other top level managers would want anything to do with him.

What Welbeck has over Balotelli is reliability, work-rate and probably intelligence (though by no means is he a clever player), all drummed into him from being brought up in England.

Welbeck's more of a man as well, but Balotelli is more talented.
Sorry, but what the fuck?

Cheers Damocles! Says it all, that must be thread over. Bring on Zinedine Cleverley.v. Merlin but let me nip out for some spare sides first for when I split my own laughing.

So Balotelli is your ordinary 21 year old striker? Haha.

For some reason, I think the main point of this post was to boast about how you have played with Welbeck. Stupid.

If there's anybody who would prefer Danny Wellbeck to Mario Balotelli (and actually mean it, not just some shite that you come out with on an Internet Forum), then you need to stop watching football and take up another sport. I'm all for having an opinion but some people just abuse the privilege.

Nashark you indeed are a tool, Mario voted best young player in the world didn't even see well shit nominated, and why put you played against well shit what the Fuck does that prove? Who do you play for now? Oh no one is that or some shit Sunday league team, shame bet you could have made it as well had it not of been for insert injury here

What's Fergie said about him?

Mourinho might have thought he has a certain degree of talent, as I think he does, but I very much doubt he thinks Balotelli is intelligent as he most clearly is not. He makes some good runs, but he has not got a brain for football. I seem to remember Balotelli hardly ever getting a game at Inter.

You'll probably thinking I'm out of line saying this but don't let your ego diminish the intelligence of an eccentric who seems to 'have it all.' Compare him to his contemporary 'smart' center forwards. He's definitely in the same echelon of intelligence. C'mon, just be fair and admit at least that.

What ego's that?

And what has Fergie said about Balotelli?

Your mate Mourinho seems to echo what I've said about him:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3072874/Jose-Mourinho-warns-Manchester-City-over-Mario-Balotelli.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... telli.html</a>

But what does Mourinho know?

The problems between him and Mourinho were personal. Mario didn't like Jose and Jose didn't like Mario. If you can't see his obvious talent then you probably don't watch enough football, and no one can convince you otherwise.

I said he has a certain degree of talent.

But I, like Mourinho, wouldn't have him in my team because I don't think he is intelligent enough.

I'm guessing Mourinho doesn't watch enough football either.

I think a lot of people like Balotelli because he's made for the celebrity age. An age where people are more obsessed with the individual than the footballer, much the way women love their Heat magazine and all that crap. That's probably all there is to it, and I've just realised it's pointless even engaging in this debate because some won't see because they get off on all that wacky shit he does. I'll leave it there because I don't think anyone challenging my opinion has any insight at all.

The way I see it is this: There are 2 forwards who are out there on their own, ronaldo and messi. There is a large group behind them, shrek, tevez, ibrahimovic, robinho, eto'o etc. Balotelli is almost in the 2nd group and could even join the top 2. Wellbeck will never get anywhere near the 2nd group because he simply doesn't have the talent. He's a typical over-rated English forward. Most overseas football fans would have never even heard of him.
