Had a mare tonight
My tattoo ZinRodri my friend, the best player ive seen, consistently in the last two decades, to take a ball under pressure, and normally at pace, and swat opposing players off like flies; there’s a reason the press was rejected by most against us, it wasn’t Eddie, it was invariably the big man, seen through the adaptations of teams when he wasn’t in there….
He can take a missile of a ball, shield and control tempo, which is when we attack like the Valkyries…

Tremendous post!Couldn't agree more.
James Trafford has been given the usual "young and English" treatment where he's being treated as a superstar waiting to happen and the successor to Ederson as our sweeper keeper.
Except his passing is average and his decision making is suspect at best. He sent Stones into a corner under needless pressure more than once against Brighton, looked shaky under the press against Palermo and had a poor game against Spurs punctuated by a shocker of a mistake.
Donnarumma is a 10 year top flight veteran at the age of 26. And a UCL/Euro champion.
Ederson was one of our playmakers. Not one goalkeeper in world football, including Trafford and Donnarumma, would have been signed with that expectation. Playing from the defence doesn't rest on the goalkeeper being a central player of the ball. It just rests on him not hoofing it purely for territory the way keepers did in 1995.
A mare? two were terrible own goals and one was a complete defensive breakdown ala City 24-25.Had a mare tonight
1000%...Rodri my friend, the best player ive seen, consistently in the last two decades, to take a ball under pressure, and normally at pace, and swat opposing players off like flies; there’s a reason the press was rejected by most against us, it wasn’t Eddie, it was invariably the big man, seen through the adaptations of teams when he wasn’t in there….

Not really, two stupid own goals and a great finish, the 4th goal he should've come out and claim it.Had a mare tonight
The punch into his own net, although disallowed, was interesting…A mare? two were terrible own goals and one was a complete defensive breakdown ala City 24-25.
So now we have to sit here and defend a world class goalkeeper before he's played a single minute in our uniform. This place is becoming a joke. The punch into his own net, although disallowed, was interesting…
I'm not sure he's even spent a minute in Manchester yet.So now we have to sit here and defend a world class goalkeeper before he's played a single minute in our uniform. This place is becoming a joke.
I genuinely wonder if there were people getting this angry about the Haaland signing in 2022 because we were playing a False 9 and he wouldn't "fit the system".So now we have to sit here and defend a world class goalkeeper before he's played a single minute in our uniform. This place is becoming a joke.
I saw a good video that explains how he is the total opposite of Ederson in coming out of his goal. Doesn't mess about at the back.
Haha God loves a trier.
fuck these bastards so so much.
Trafford is better with his feet, if you use your eyes and watchTrafford isn’t better than donnarumma with his feet for starters; also measuring mistakes that may occur, against a guy who outshines both Eddie and Trafford with shot stopping by some distance, evens the notion out…..
His long range consistency is clearly below Eddie but again measured against Trafford, is night and day, the kid struggles for distance under pressure, that won’t happen under donnarumma, just watch his PSG reel, he’s also got a true target in Haaland….
Eddie is our best ever keeper but because of the style that dictated, I’ve come around to having to evolve as Eddie will remain an anomaly in terms of consistency from playing out…
One thing is for sure, the command of his area against set pieces relaxes me no end and we may even keep a penalty out or 2….
Like for likes haven’t existed with Peps core players, invariably though, we’ve gone up a level!
