Silva and de Bruyne are forwards/attacking mids (both of their best positions are the "number 10" role). Gündoğan is a central midfielder where Delph Fernando Fernandinho and Yaya play and, as good as Fernandinho is, Gündoğan is better than all of them.

Gundogan is a very intelligent footballer who can play in defensive or attacking midfield roles. He is a fantastic passer of the ball with both feet, can dribble as well as control the tempo of a match.

Gundogan will give De Bruyne a very good run for our player of the season next year, if both stay fit, though I am hoping for an incredible scoring record from Aguero who may beat them both.
