I'm surprised you aren't one of their consultants. No wonder no one else was in for him. Lets pray the board knows what they're doing.

And you know this because .... ?No wonder no one else was in for him. Lets pray the board knows what they're doing.
From taking a moment, I can only think of Gascoigne at his very best as a comparison, but of course I'm sure there are others.
I believe he had the same "Are you alright?" once-over by a first-aider that Roque Santa Cruz passed with flying colours.
How did you arrive at that conclusion? The two big injuries he's had sounded like unfortunate atypical injuries to me.
@Marvin I moved discussion to this forum as its about Gundogan not Wilshere
I think we have to admit there is a large element of risk with this transfer with regard to these injuries, he has major back problems of which root cause is unknown and add to that he has dislocated his knee, a horrific injury which can cause related injuries on recovery.

Back injuries and Knee injuries are two major causes for concern, how many top players have we seen not fully recover after knee issues?
You have to assume that with a dislocated knee that there will also be ligament and cartilage issues. Most dislocated knees involve injuries to three or four of the major knee ligaments. These include the ACL,PCL, posterolateral corner, and the medial knee structures (including the medial collateral ligament and posterior oblique ligament). In addition, there may be injuries to the medial or lateral meniscus, the articular cartilage
Saying that can't wait to see him play, such an intelligent footballer but to suggest he isn't prone to injuries is a tad delusional imho

What shirt number do you reckon Gundogan will get for the upcoming season?

Correct, he dislocated his knee cap not his knee, there's a vast difference and is the reason he'll be back at the end of August and is nothing to worry about. All the reports that I read indicated he had a dislocated patella not a dislocated knee.. The disruption to ligaments may not be as severe and there need be no disruption to the cartilages.
At the end of the day though we have not seen a medical report nor know the extent of the injury.

As regards his back injury as far as I can see anywhere he came back from that in Oct 2014(?) and has never had a recurrence.
He said himself the ligament got stetched so not torn and also he is ahead on recovery and end aug/early sept he will be back playing, people have brought into him being injury prone when he really is not,the back was 3 seasons ago and a lot of his "injuries" have been illness, vinny and wiltshire are what is injury prone looks likeAll the reports that I read indicated he had a dislocated patella not a dislocated knee.. Ahh, I didn't know that.It wasn't a back 'injury' he had pre scheduled surgery to alleviate a compression between two spinal discs that he'd had since birth.
Gundogans back surgery was done after a long time trying to treat it without surgery and he had a long spell out.
None of us are in the position to know whether a problem may recur or not or its likelihood. In all probability even his own medical team cannot know with certainty.
To deny that there is a risk that his playing time may be limited in the future by recurrent injury is probably not realistic, to claim that the injuries are so bad that a deal should not be done for a very talented player who has come back to good form after the back surgery is equally silly.
None of us are really in a position to know what the risk is as we don't have the detailed knowledge of his medical reports, equally even if we did have the reports we could still take a decision that looks sensible in advance but doesn't work out. Life's like that.
And AlabaWhat's he doing with Nasri?
