Welcome Gomez! Seems so excited to be here in the interview. Love that he was a fan as a kid! Big shoes to fill in nr 21 but then he knows that as well as Silva was his Idol. Glad he has such big trust in kompany and trusted him for both his new role as a player and for coming to City!

Nope probably be a few weeks if we see him,oh hold on he‘ll probably start in the Barca friendly..

Given Walkers slog last season and picking up injuries towards the end, perhaps the plan is to rotate Walker/Cancelo (and maybe Lewis too) on the right and (eventually at least) rotate JWE/Gomez on the left?

That's probably the long term plan.
I wonder if Gomez will be an option in midfield too, if needed.
