Well done Bobby

Personally I don't like this waving the imaginary card (not that it's the worst thing in football like some would have you believe) and I wish he would stop doing it for the benefit of everyone.

However, what pisses me off is people now talking about Mancini's actions as if they were worse than what Figueroa did. That was the most blatant act of cheating I can ever remember seeing on a football pitch and the fact he only got a yellow does a disservice to the game.

But that is exactly what they want to achieve by highlighting it. It gets people talking about Talkshite and then phoning in because they are so wound up. It gets people talking about the crap being written in this paper or that paper. Do people start endless threads on here everytime a newspaper or a radio station talks about our great football, our inspired managerial decisions, our loyal support etc etc etc? No they don't and so that is why they spout controversial bull...stupidly, so many of us rise to the bait and they love it!!

he misjudged the bounce, and should of paid for his mistake and cheating ways, but at least we got the 3 points, we don't have to play them again so them being stronger can only be a good thing for us?!

Mancini has been annoyed 4 times this season, in very quick succession.

1. Skrtel was last man and brought down yaya 2 minutes after a very soft 2nd yelloiw for barry no action.

2. Kompany sending off for a very clean interception.

3. Johnson not even booked following a much worse tackle than Kompany's.

4. Figueroa only booked for blatent cheating and denying an (almost) certain goalscoring oppurtunity.

all 4 have gone against us (bar the penalty) so can understand why he is getting annoyed at it, what annoys me about last night is that they said it might of been a goalscoring oppurtunity, theres too many IF's and BUT's, just like Kompanys, was all about IF he had hit Nani.

but, onwards and upwards, lets beat spuds and get one a nice long roll till the end of the season!

and what was rooney doing in the cup match? he wasn't saying that a brilliant interception and clean tackle ref.

carry on bob.

bear in mind that it should have been a red, we are not arsed a min to go and leading one nil its the double standards that bob is having a go at.

Totally agree. This is the point that the media are overlooking. Had he been whinging and moaning about everything since he arrived in the manner employed by some managers then fair enough, but here we have Roberto highlighting something that he believes is inconsistent.

His comments after the Liverpool match were seen as a demand for Johnson to be sent off, but that is not what he said (he made a comparison saying if Kompany went then Johnson should go, but that he felt neither actually deserved to go).

The same's true with last night. It's all about consistency.

Forget this waving the "imaginary" card bullshit. Get him a real set and let him show the referee exactly how he feels. What would the pundits make of that???????

There are better, classier ways to make a point than running around waving cards like some bloke on the Kippax.

We need someone with a cool head over the next four months. He needs to set the example.

I may be in a minority, but I wish he'd stop doing it, it achieves nothing but attract bad publicity.
I'm also not interested in the "but Rooney does it" or "Ferguson taps his watch" arguments, let those classless bastards do what they want, I'd prefer to see a serene, calm Mancini rising above all that.
I'm with you on that too. He's hardly going to win friends for mcfc by ballooning around like Barry fry on acid.

Poor show by the manager. First time I wasn't arsed but after the last one got attention, and his spat with Rooney , he should know better.

He needs to keep a fucking cool head in this run in if he wants the team to.
Well knock me down with a feather.

On the phone in on the way in to work, 5 out of the first 6 were all fans (only 1 being a City fan) that said it was blown out of all proportion and no worse than any other manager does every game. The one fan that disagreed was a Liverpool fan and somehow managed to turn it into a Suarez debate.

For you to go against the manager will be a shock to everyone as well you know. But then everyone knows you're still bitter for picking the wrong horse and continuing to look silly for it.

I agree, but sadly the way the game has worked over the last few years it seems to be a case of 'make a lot of noise and generate attention for your grievance and then next time the refs might be on your side so that they don't get the flak'.

It's totally wrong of course, but those managers who have been known to criticise a ref's judgement game after game have tended to get their own way. The FA and refs need to stamp that out, but they haven't in the past.
