Keep up the good work Bob. Loving the gesticulations.

I can forgive the first one because you could say it's a cultural thing but as a manager he should at least have learned from the negative press the first one brought. I love the guy but that's an error that the press will pick up on. As far as I can see, the press have been consistent, brandishing imaginary cards (by players and staff alike) is always reported on.
Bollocks.
They didn't report on Liverpool players trying to get Balotelli sent off. They wouldn't have reported on Rooney, Carrick, Jones trying to get Kompany sent off. They didn't even report on Milner trying to get Johnson sent off the other week.
They don't report on managers every game disputing decisions with the 4th official.
I'd rather it wasn't done, but I'd rather the refs made the correct decisions in the first place, and if one is going to be criticised for it everyone should be.

I agree, but sadly the way the game has worked over the last few years it seems to be a case of 'make a lot of noise and generate attention for your grievance and then next time the refs might be on your side so that they don't get the flak'.
It's totally wrong of course, but those managers who have been known to criticise a ref's judgement game after game have tended to get their own way. The FA and refs need to stamp that out, but they haven't in the past.
Agreeing with Dismal that Bob is short of class is a big mistake - editGary James said:I agree.....Didsbury Dave said:There are better, classier ways to make a point than running around waving cards like some bloke on the Kippax.
I think he knows that and that is why he is doing it. Someone else said about taking the focus off the team, which I can understand. I'm with you though, it isn't the most classy thing to do and only appears to have come in since Kompany got sent off. I think he definitely knows what he's doing though, rather than it being off the hip or Italian flair, and I say that as like I say, its only happened since Kompany.Didsbury Dave said:Gary James said:Didsbury Dave said:There are better, classier ways to make a point than running around waving cards like some bloke on the Kippax.

Haha - interesting concept I suppose and point taken. If it gets us a few decisions then maybe it's worth it!
I don't think that's why he did it, though, he just reacted from the hip.
I don't like it. Partly because I want City to be perceived at worthy, glorious champions (if we do it of course), not fucking cheats and whingers like another team we know. Also because I want him to be the coolest man in the stadium when things really get hot this spring. It also shows poor judgement from him after all the press in recent weeks about this kind of thing. It makes him look a bit of a hypocrite if I'm honest.
In total agreement, it is embarrassing and he should stop.Mugatu said:I may be in a minority, but I wish he'd stop doing it, it achieves nothing but attract bad publicity.
I'm also not interested in the "but Rooney does it" or "Ferguson taps his watch" arguments, let those classless bastards do what they want, I'd prefer to see a serene, calm Mancini rising above all that.
It's whinging, yes. But where's the cheating? The only cheat i saw was Figueroa.Didsbury Dave said:Gary James said:Didsbury Dave said:There are better, classier ways to make a point than running around waving cards like some bloke on the Kippax.
