Talksport will always run the tabloid angle. And a gritty, slightly sloppy 1-0 win over Wigan doesn't engender many phone calls or listeners.

Just to make myself clear, I didn't give a damn the first time Mancini did this. I thought all the negativity around it was just hot air. It's the fact that he's done it a second time which bugs me. He should have engaged his brain.
I didn't like it the first time to be honest DD, and as soon as it happened like you I thought about the negative attention it will get straight away, which of course it did. Only BM knows why he's doing though I suppose.
I wonder what odds Paddy Power will give for him doing it on Sunday? You know they will!

I strongly suspect he's frustrated at not being able to buy De Rossi and others, too. Hence the pressure and his wierd, rattled, angry demeanour.

How has the failure to sign De Rossi made referees make some blatantly biased decisions against us?

I agree, but sadly the way the game has worked over the last few years it seems to be a case of 'make a lot of noise and generate attention for your grievance and then next time the refs might be on your side so that they don't get the flak'.

It's totally wrong of course, but those managers who have been known to criticise a ref's judgement game after game have tended to get their own way. The FA and refs need to stamp that out, but they haven't in the past.

Haha - interesting concept I suppose and point taken. If it gets us a few decisions then maybe it's worth it!

I don't think that's why he did it, though, he just reacted from the hip.

I don't like it. Partly because I want City to be perceived at worthy, glorious champions (if we do it of course), not fucking cheats and whingers like another team we know. Also because I want him to be the coolest man in the stadium when things really get hot this spring. It also shows poor judgement from him after all the press in recent weeks about this kind of thing. It makes him look a bit of a hypocrite if I'm honest.
It's whinging, yes. But where's the cheating? The only cheat i saw was Figueroa.
He's on the fucking wum as usual

I'd like to believe he knows what he doing with it, Pidge, but in my heart of hearts I don't.

He gets flustered under pressure, we've seen it before. It worries me. He's looked rattled this last few weeks as our form has dipped. This is just an extension of this. To be fair to him he's under immense pressure to deliver the title.

We are the most in-form team in the league.

4 wins a loss and a draw from our last 6, with a much tougher fixture than our rivals who haven't done as well.

To be fair i think he has a snap every game for some reason. That goes back to his first game in charge. Gotta love the man.

Just like Mancini, it's all part of his mind games.

"Hardly going to win friends for MCFC by ballooning about like Barry Fry on acid"

"Poor show by the manager"

"There are better, classier ways to make a point than running around waving cards like some bloke on the Kippax"

"He needs to set an example"

"Poor judgement from him"

"Makes him look a bit of a hypocrite"

I'd like to believe he knows what he's doing with it, but in my heart of hearts I don't"

"He gets frustrated under pressure, we've seen it before"

"He's looked rattled these last few weeks"

"If he's doing it on purpose to get in the referees head, then that's cheating"

"Oh you dick, you'll be all over the papers tomorrow"

"How do you think he'll be if we're 1-0 up in a title decider against united with our backs to the wall? I know what I think"

"I can see he's rattled at the moment"

"He should have engaged his brain"

"No manager is perfect and he clearly has his flaws"

"His weird, rattled angry demeanour"

Well thank fuck we are three points clear at the top of the league, with the easier remaining fixtures and our key players still to return, otherwise you might start having a go at the manager.

Welcome back Dismal, we know you cant help yourself.

Good post. That's exactly what I hope. And I certainly feel the injustice too, I'd like to think we will use it for a dunkirk spirit.

Why not tell me which bit of that post you think is "shit"?

All of it - you say he doesn't know what he's doing, which is patently wrong, and you have no idea if he gets flustered under pressure, is rattled at the moment or if he's under immense pressure to deliver the title.

What on earth are you blathering on about? I said I didn't believe that his tantrum was a premeditated attempt to manipulate officials, and that's a pretty damn valid opinion. I also made it clear it was an opinion. I watch City every week and have done my whole life. People's actions and words give them away. I can see he gets flustered under pressure with my own two eyes, that's what last night's actions, and the tunnel rows and press wars with the likes of Gerrard and ROoney are about. I can see he's rattled at the moment and anyone who doesn't think he's under immense pressure to deliver the title is a fool.
Press war with Rooney and Gerrard? What the fuck are you on about?

Interesting that nobody is reflecting on bobs reactions to decisions like this when we are 2 or 3 nil up - they are exactly the same - old trafford this year springs to mind - 3-0 up and micah is brought down, mancini up and berating anything or anyone who will listen, all the media have done is switched its attention to bob on a more regular basis and its all to our advantage!!!

Very true Zin, the media are able to manipulate simple & gullible fans to make what is a "non-story" into a "story".
