Agree. The Azteca Stadium in Mexico, and the Azadi Stadium in Iran, both hold over 100,000, and they're both much older than Wembley.

Both massive footballing nations! I think Wembleys big enough it's just spoiled by the ridiculous amount of corporates that 'attempt' to fill it every time its used.

Plus it's nit a recent thing. An older bloke in the queue last Saturday told me we were only given 16000 tickets for the 1969 final. I was susprised when he told me, but why would he make it up?

Can't get my head round the fact that 40,000 tickets get shipped out. Someone on here said something about a diluted atmosphere if the stadium were bigger, but to have almost half the tickets given out to non supporters isn't that the same thing?
It fucking stinks to think that someone can invest £500 in a ticket and not get to see the final. It is as someone said a huge pisstake. The FA couldn't give a fuck about the fans. Everyone knows the vast majority of these tickets will end up on the black Market anyway. Is should be at least 40,000 split each.
