Just one from the memory banks; anyone remember that defeat by Huddersfield on a friday night in the season we got relegated to the 2nd Division? Now that was really shit.

So shit in fact that I went to Jabez Clegg after the game, got pissed out of my mind, pulled an ugly fat bird, took her back to my student digs in Rusholme, kicked her out at 4am and then ritually burned the City team poster I had on my bedroom wall in the backyard after I'd managed to get her sizeable arse out of the house.

Funnily enough, I don't feel like doing that tonight. In fact, I feel pretty damn fine.

Fucking drama queen.

Fu@k me, pissed it down, shocking football if that is what we can call it and piss poor backing today. Ok Bluemoon when the players come out is normally fairly good, today shocking, infact didn't happen, had everyone had a roast dinner early or something, we seem to now just wait for the first goal before anyone wakes up. We go away and the backing is great pre match and during but today was a joke to be honest. Even when we went up 2-1, nothing, but I will admit I struggle to remember a more piss poor performance in 37 years of watching the Blues, We all come on and have a winge and moan and I know we shouldn't when we sit 2nd in the Prem Lge but bloody hell after another £250 today I expect more from the likes of that lazy tw@t Ya Ya Fu@k a joke, 200k a week, your having a laugh, get a grip pass the ball, tackle and get to the ball first, its basic football. The greast Shankly once said if you can play poor and win it is the sign of Champions, bloody hell I would love to believe but today would even test Bill Shankleys thoughts on that theory.

I agree about the atmosphaer, i have a season ticket in 110 and normaly it is pretty good but today it was flat.
What I dont agree with is you estimation of yaya, in my opinion he is the best midfielder i have ever seen for city(im 19). just because he does not run around like jelson fernandes does not make him a bad player by any stretch of the imagination. same goes for Adabayor, just because he does not charge around does not make him a bad player. we should be past the stage of needing grafters instead good players.

I'm agreeing with you you tool! Bolton at home when we were 2-0 down before half time when Anelka scored. The Marble on Rochdale rd was at bursting point while the game was still on as that many people had walked out.

And they way you say 'they' leads me to suspect your credentials aren't what they are otherwise you would have said 'we'

Was definitely Kelly but I have only just remembered that. Good memory!!

It was the period Barry Conlon made an appearance so all sorts were happening.

Of course today was worse though. Far far FAR worse in fact.

QPR in that first ever Monday night match was pretty bloody awful. Most games against Boro and also the 4-0 defeat in the first game of the season at home against Sunderland at the start of the 80's all spring to mind readily, thats without thinking back over some of the crappy cup defeats over the years.

We've played better, we'll play worse. Im just enjoying the good fortune of where we currently sit while still looking for that consistency at a higher level we all know we have in us.

Can I just remind everyone that after the 1st January in Pearce's last season in charge, we didn't score a single league goal at home.

I'd actually forgotten/wiped it from my memory.

Horrible times.

Today was worse though. Miles worse. Needed more ticker tape.

In that case my sincere apologies. However since my last reply i've actually had a brain overload of worse games than todays. Luckilly i was out of my face for the majority of them so thankfully they are a blur.

Sheffield utd at home, 0-0, i was that hammered i fell asleep in the bogs in the kippax and woke up at 1720hrs to an empty ground. I think that was a little worse than todays!
