We're Top of the League

Truly sickening if we don't win the league because we were so great at the start of the season. This Rag team is one of the worst, how can they be 2nd on goal difference alone with a game to play? I'll tell you how, LUCK. Look at all the 50/50 decisions they get and how many we get? Look how many teams bend over for them, but are in a cup final against us. We will despair the things that have not gone our way. We should be 4 points clear right now. If we had gotten that pen at Chelski, and gone 2-0 up we would've won it and gotten 3 points. If the stupid Sunderland Cunts hadn't scored an OFFSIDE goal, we would've drawn and have gotten 1 point. This bad luck we have is stupid, but even with that I still believe we can win the league. Just have to use better tactics away. Also some people might say that Man Ure should've gotten 3 points when Newcastle went to their place because Newcastle got an unfair pen, but Man Ure have ALWAYS gotten unfair pens/be pampered by the refs, so they got their just desserts.

Really hope we win it or the rag cunts at my school will never let me hear the end of it.
The biggest myth of the season with us Blues has been that this is one of the worst United teams in the last 20 years. In my eyes when I see Fletcher out all season, Vidic and Ferdinand missing for more time than we've been without Vincent and Joleon, Valancua out for months, Nani out for months, Hernandez out for months, he's not the best but Anderson out for months... their replacements have come in and you've not noticed a bit of difference. This current United squad is the best they've ever had. Their fringe squad players are of the highest quality of any club in the league and that's why they could go ahead of us. Savic and Kolo come in for us and to be honest them two wouldn't get in any of the top seven first choice defences, and when we're lacking a bit width we haven't got Valencia Young Nani Giggs or Park to bring on off the bench we've got Adam Johnson and pretty much nobody else. That's why they could go ahead of us.

Also there's no such thing as 'luck'. Things just happen. Luck is about as real as magic, miracles, god, heaven, hell, tooth fairies, NeverNeverLand, flying pigs...

Good point considering who was injured - we are in a better position now than when we lost in Wales.

good luck is the absence of bad luck

I'm finding it quite depressing reading this site at the moment, as it seems to be morphing into RAWK. I suspect some of the negative posters are Rag WUMS, but they can't all be. So many crying like little girls who've had a bad fall in the playground it's pathetic.

Look folks, the very worst that can happen this year is that we finish 2nd and qualify for the Champions League. That position, or better, is something we've only achieved on a handful of occasions in our entire history. We still have a chance of winning the title - the Rags are going to be favourites now, but we are still in the race unlike the rest of the Premier League.

I am also sick of hearing that this player or that is 'shit'. This is possibly the best squad we have ever had. Of course it can still be improved, and some of the players are not as useful as the others, but no one is 'shit', not even Savic. I can't believe that some people want a new manager - whoever comes in will rip the squad up, bring in new players and introduce new ways of playing and training, and it will set us back at least six months, maybe a whole season.

I haven't given up on this season yet, but I've no doubt at all that we'll be challenging again for major honours in 2012-13. Nothing can stop us, except ourselves.

Great post, reflects my sentiments exactly.
I think alot of the doom and gloom is because we were at the top for so long. Think if we had been 6th or 7th and climbing to 2nd with 8 games to go people would be buzzin.

We have had a season to be proud of, only matter of time till we dominate but Rags are not giving in easy.
We have set Prem record after Prem record this year, yes we have had slight blip away from home but you can't say you haven't enjoyed the rollercoaster ride that is City
We have only been behind throughout the season by 95minutes in total, this in itself shows how hard we are to beat nowadays.
Come on Blues believe for the last 8 games. CTID

If we win away at arsenal (not impossible) then this forum will be full of people saying we will definitely win the league. Having thought about yesterday it was a decent point considering we have 3 main players out and none of the top 5 have won there. Could have been worse at 1-0 down. Need a good win at home next weekend to keep up the pressure as united always twat fulham at the swamp.

Things did change.

Let's assume United win their remaining games (besides the derby), they would end the season with 94 points.

That is incredible, and I would bet that won't happen. They will draw with a few teams, possibly lose.

..Let's say we did the same and won our remaining games as well, they will win the league on goal difference.

I cannot predict the future, but I think I'm allowed to make inferences ;). No game is easy, but any sane person can see they play many games where they could score for fun.

They beat Fulham 5-0 away last time. Who's to say they can't win 4-0 and go ahead us by 1 goal as early as Monday? The reverse is also true and they could drop points.

--

Yet, I remain optimistic in the hopes that they will play a shit game and come away with a loss or draw. That would put us in a prime position to leapfrog them.
Our away form, however, truly tests my optimism.

its true they do win games they should draw or lose scholes giggs pop up last min
or in fergie time to win the game
they cannot keep doing it and with teams fighting to stay up they will slip up

i think fulham can get something tomorrow night if they dont go there looking to keeping the score down and put 10 men behind the ball
what we dont need to a big score for them and the 3 points aswell

we need (MANCINI) not to play yaya or the holding midfield again this season
just play the way we did at the start of the season forget the score just score more than them win 4.2 or 5.3 you are better going for it right from the start
unlike the last 5 games just sit and wait to the other team score then change it with 10 mins to go
