I fail to see why someone from Pakistan being called a Paki is offensive yet we openly call people from Scotland Jocks,Irish Paddies, heaven forbid someone calling me a Brit to my face.Maybe it's because it suits certain peoples agenda

Not sure if serious.

plenty of racism still at city, amongst a minority of fans. Working in manchester city centre a couple of years back when the edl had there demo, saw plenty of united and city shirts amongst the crowd that day. Hear it in the pubs and in the stands, I dont think bluemoon represents what its really like if im being honest.

Only a minority of city fans are like that though

Don't agree, plenty of racism of all kinds on bluemoon probaly an internet thing, only a minority.
We actually had a bluemoon member on here that started a well populated thread that was asking for City fans to wear their shirts with pride & protest at the BBC studios in Manchester over their pro Jewish bias,it turned violent aswell they attempted to storm the studios.
As you work in Manchester you will have seen the huge UAF marches that provoke hatred & are desperate for the police to attack them & boo silences for my countrys war dead
So yes on that point i do agree, plenty of racism about

When I was a kid every time I usde to see NF sprayed on walls I always thought it stood for Nottingham Forest. I must have been about 30 before I realised :-(

Did you think BNP an a learning disabilites painting of Preston North End?

When we kids pal i never saw rascism at City. did you?
I remember being away at Leeds away in the late 70s and the cool cats arrived. You could see them through the railings, I was in the ground a scared kid, they just walked down the middle of the road cool as fuck. Nobody went near them.

I think that day more than most made me think we are nor of ant race we are blues

I never remember it on the Kippax even for other players but saw loads at other clubs

Went to a game against SPurs and stood in the Kippax with my dad. Ronny Rosenthal came out and quite a few people around us, most fat balding blokes in their 40s started to hiss. Didn't realise until later that is was supposed to be the sound of the gas chamber. Disgusting! Racism can be anywhere, the most important thing is to challenge it when you hear lazy, ignorant, racist comments. If the silent majority did that there would be even less now than there is.

-- Sun Sep 09, 2012 7:05 pm --

Well I'm so relieved, that's cleared that up.
