Jovetic isn't a midfielder though, so a swap for Nasri would be a huge risk. 3 strikers from the start is a little on the suicidal side for my taste

Actually he is. He's an attacking midfielder. Best position in central of a 4-2-3-1. Can also play out wide of a front 3.

Correct. He has played on his own up front on quite a few occasions as well though.

why on earth is clichy starting ... ?

I'm more bothered about this than Jovetic. Kolarov seems to have fallen out of favour, despite being distinctly better than Clichy for much of the season.

Very attacking line up. Hopefully we're not leaving ourselves open with a 2 man midfield or open to the break. Come on city!

Garcia will stick back, can't see too much threat from West Brom. They will certainly not look to dominate the game but rather hit us on the break, Garcia should be enough.

I was more refering to his defensive work, which is non-existent. He can play in the hole, but for me, that's not the same as playing as an attacking midfielder. Nasri will be required to track their RB, which Jovetic wouldn't do

I imagine Jovetic will be an X factor off the bench if necessary, and will probably get in the game either way

If i'm not mistaken he has played a total of 54 minutes in March/April? Probably doesn't have match fitness and better to insert him later
By the same token why do we give Aguero all the minutes he needs as soon as he's ready. Jovetic has been ready for over 3 weeks now. Does Pellegrini not rate him? Is Dzeko really better than Jovetic?

And so, an important game in the title race, Liverpool with a win at the weekend and Chelsea with a shock loss. Our time to respond and what is the first thing to discuss for Sky, David Moyes and more statements of the bleeding obvious. Sky pre-match build ups quickly get nauseating and boring.... Time to see what else is on......

40 mins to k.o. And SKY pundits talking about nothing else apart from Moyes potential sacking. Gary Neville getting all worked up.

Dzeko is not even close to Jovetic's performance

Legit question - seems Aguero was rushed back when Jovetic could have been used instead
