West Brom Vs City Post Match Thread

'll put the focus on Sagna and Kolarov, instead of the obvious. That was possibly the best game they've both had for us. Bony - more skill in his little toe than Dzeko in both feet.
Mouth watering to think that we can add a fit Kun to that team.
Turning to Sunday - decent warm up for Silva, cos he'll get kicked to death by the chavs, probably with even less protection. Mike Dean should review that second half and be ashamed of himself.
Fantastic City! Everything I hoped for, and so much more for our first competitive game, and even better to stick that up the pundits.
Mils and James? Up yours!!

Our City fans were awesome too. Sang loud & clear for 90 minutes. Did us proud. Have we got a drum?
No we bloody didn't and it got on my nerves all night as did the twat near me with a dubious stomach! Good performance from City although when WBA went 352 and route one at the beginning of the second half it took us a few minutes to work it out. Mike Dean ought to shown a video of the game and asked why no red cards were shown to WBA although to be fair Ferny could have been booked earlier. Also missed a blatant pen for us which I love to hear why he didn't give it. It was either a pen or he books Silva for a dive

Always one to seek out a cloud in a silver lining, the only thing that worried me about last night's game was dino giving away free kicks in dangerous areas and then Joe positioning himself to one side of the goal at the resultant free kick.
Stay in the centre of the goal Joe, you should still be able to reach all but the best shots and by taking up a position to the side you make up the free kick takers mind for him. Remember Palace last year.

Navas gets himself in good positions and tries hard, but it appeared to me that whatever move we had broke down with him just about every time he touched it. He can't beat his man, doesn't get a good cross in, and can't escape trouble.

Seems to me that you are believeing what the papers and pundits say. Last night Jesus was as much a integral part of the team as was Dave or Yaya. As Raheem took defenders away down the left to make room for Alex and Dave, he did exactly the same down the right ,not a coincidense that Sagna had probably his best match for us. The first goal came from his chasing the ball out to the right and stopping it going out and then set Sergio up in the latter stages. Also his fittnes needs recognising, in the last minutes of the game he was still up and down the wing providing an outlet and back up for Sagna.
