City's preseason: played 6, won 3, drew 1, lost 2, scored 16, conceded 11.
Chelsea's preseason: played 5, drew 2, lost 3, scored 5, conceded 9.

City's preseason in 2013 (last season we won the league): played 7, won 3, lost 4, scored 10, conceded 12.

Wouldnt play Vinny as hes be awful this preseason.

but De Bruyne doesn't play for us,we'd be in serious shit if we played him...maybe even points deducted,its not as if he could go under a different name...the games on TV and he would be recognised...
 
From being extremely nervous about the opening fixture a few days ago, I'm now feeling confident. I haven't got a clue why - we can't defend for love nor money - but I believe we'll win.
 
I'm concerned about this game, and our preparation for the new season, which I think has been awful. Heaven knows what the line up will be on Monday night, and I bet nobody gets it 100% right on here, reckon it could be a total mix and match eleven. 1-1 draw.

We seemed just as ill prepared last season but still managed a convincing win away at Newcastle. So I am hoping for the same again. However, if I were a West Brom fan I would be sensing this is a great time to play us.

I agree about the preparation. Why can't we actually use the training facilities we've so pain-stakingly built, or go off to some quiet European location for 3 weeks before a tournament to sharpen up?

I think the team will be easier to pick than usual because the options are minimal, but even now it's very difficult. We don't know whether we are going to retain last season's system, or change to two wide men and a forward. (We know what we did in pre-season, but we may then have been planning for Pogba).
It wouldn't be a surprise to see Kelechi start. If he's good enough for the first team squad then there is a strong possibility he will start. Or maybe Aguero will get the nod?

I really like Bony, but I understand that he has had a serious illness. He seems to be over it, but I'd be amazed if he was at his best in such a short time.
