I was about to ask the same. He didn't feature in any of the preseason matches and nothing has really been said of him the last few weeks.

I hope he is back to his best, which is being one of the best two-way midfielders in the world, but I'm not sure he starts our opening match.

I fear it will be Fernando. If "little" Fernando is not available I'd much prefer Zuculini at this point.

Shame it's not today, bloody fantastic weather for the opening day of the season and we're not playing until Monday night. Notoriously hard to predict opening fixtures but let's hope they're right up for it from the start and can score a few. As others have said, I can't see us keeping a clean sheet but we should have too much for them going forward.
