Apparently MOTD have done the same.

However, watching football first, we deserved to win considering we played 70 min with 10 men.

Fair enough Lukaku had a good chance plus an overhead kick well saved, but City were by far the better side and this was well summed up by their manager Steve Clarke.

He was very gracious and fair play to the man.

10 men.

More possession.

More shots.

More on target.

More goals.

Ffffuuuuuuucccccckkkkk off.

Kompany has to be dropped for a few games in my opinion. Lescott and Richards/Nastasic in CB. I dont think its a coincidence that our only clean sheet came in a match Kompany didnt play.

He always has the players in mind to book prior to the game, used to be Belamy, now it's always Balo. He isn't the worst ref (Foy, Mason, Dowd, Halsey are worse), but he never seems to have a decent fair game
He reffed us this same weekend last season. We won away, 6-1.

From recollection, he had two big decisions, one was the evans call which he had no options but to give a red card. The other was Anderson's bump on Micah in the penalty area which was a blatant penalty, to which Clattenberg called it a coming of together with his weird hand signal.

Anyways, i'm just happy the boys dug deep to get this result.

Can you do that though with your captain? I think it would be a major distraction in the press and in the dressing room whether Kompany makes a scene or not. I don't think he would either, but still...

The only thing that might work is moving Komoany into midfield to regain his confidence on the ball.

Understand why you say it bit he had been our best defender last few years so we should stick with him imo.

Now you know that ain't gonna happen. However I agree he needs to start performing like the Captain of a Championship winning side......of which he already is. Form is temporary, class is permanent...Vinny will be the greatest Captain we've ever had!!! Four points better off than last season wow!!

Id give Dzeko a proper rimming. Not a stingy lick, a proper sloppy all for one and one for all rimming.

I also have a new tactic. As Dzeko seems so insistent on scoring when subbed on, start Balo, then sub him off after 60 seconds and let Dzeko play the rest.

LOL :D:D:D:D

Sky News over here in Dubai had an interview with SAF and showed all the Manure v Poke goals, ran through all of the PL results except our win, which they didn't even mention. Hidden agenda perhaps?

Really impressed with the boys yesterday, we've got some steel about us these days.
Milner looked a man possessed again, he took one for the team yesterday, thanks to Kompany's stupidity. Know one can be angry with Milner for that, imagine if he'd just pulled out of the challenge and allowed Long a clear run through, he'd have been crucified, and rightly so.
I see some people slagged Nasri, well I thought he was excellent, he adapted his game to suit the situation. With a man down we couldn't afford a luxury midfielder who could flit in and out of the game. He dropped deeper allowing Toure to still try and get forward, he kept possession and was neat and tidy.
Finally I thought Clarke showed a touch of class in his interview, mentioning how good we were especially with 10 men, and how we played like champions.

Very impressive 'champions' display for me. From the off we looked like we were going to murder them 3 or 4 nil. We were in complete control and looked like the home team.

Milner's (correct) red could and should have seen the game change in West Brom's favour but to be honest being a man down didn't show and we continued to boss the game brilliantly.

To do that for 70 mins away from home against a very in form side is of huge credit to the players and management. Fucking excellent in fact.

The guys played as a team and I feel I have to commend Nasri and Balotelli for doing a lot of leg work and covering as they aren't really designed for that. Great attitudes and great togetherness.

Even at 0-1 I felt we'd win. We had an impressive air of stubborness and defiance about us.

Excellent substitutions from Bob at the right times. Both Aguero and Dzeko were excellent. Dzeko is a true professional with a fantastic attitude and like most of you on here I'm really starting to warm to him after being a pretty harsh critic of his. A very, very important part of the squad. I'd deffo start him against Ajax.

Joe Hart again in great form. Some very key saves.

On the West Brom front I have to say I thought Odemwingie and Lukaku were both brilliant. Clarke missed a massive trick by not bringing one or the other on when we went down to 10 men. Could've been a different story.

Is that a Dubai vs Abu Dhabi agenda?

I noticed that too, an unusually honest appraisal from an opposition manager about Man City's play, credit to Clarke for that, hopefully it's set a precedent.
