West Ham (H) - Post-Match Thread

After x5 mins it was obvious West Ham were not going to press Rodri, so he had every chance of beating any records.

Nevertheless still has to do the job. KDB still easily MOM though, his chase back and challenge to nick the ball off the

CF in that 2nd Half breakaway showed his steel and commitment on top of his assists & goal at other end of the pitch.

Mendy placed his crosses well and Walker on opposite side in general did well too. Most worrying was Stones cameo.

Yes Moyes, post match, stated "terrific performance" but think that was linked to his later "goal difference" comment.

He broke the pass record.

His percentage of successful passes vs actual passes was excellent.

I swear the human race really fucking concerns me sometimes.

It’s unbelievable the absolute shite some people come out with and think it’s okay.

Rodri would have been MotM with that performance more times than not but he has the good fortune to be playing with the best player in the league, who was having a good day.

There were three notable occasions when Rodders gave the ball away and probably shouldn't have done but he completed 94.7% of 188 attempted passes, which is far more noteworthy.

I wouldn't mind seeing Declan Rice brought in as Rodri's back-up if The Hammers go down, not that I think they will. I'd also look at Fabinanski as a replacement for Bravo in those circumstances.

don't sure where to post this !

after watching last nights game it got me think why is the premier league the so called best in the world a team that played a 9-1 formation didn't make for a good game even as a die hard fan I found myself talking to the missus at some points in the game !!, even went and made a brew as the game was on as well !!. The run away leaders aren't as good as the press/media make out just a glorified long ball team who for over two season have played the same 14 at a hundred miles per hour !. I get that some games are great to watch, and we see some great players , but for me last night wasnt a great advent for the premier league. Yet no question will be asked about why WHU put on such a piss poor performance, a performance that could effect viewing figure in the future because I wont be watching another WHU game. I get the fact that there has been a long brake and players were abit rusty but to travel from London to Manchester to watch that I think WHU should reimburse their fans !

Most worrying thing from a West Ham point of view would be his claim that they played terrific!
Haha! Useless ****.

They won’t be as resilient v Dippers. They’ll try and attack and get slaughtered.

it felt funny last night in the stands and the buzz was about the FFP and uefa the fans views non stop, the fans are hurting more than i first thought and this was a premier league so god help the game vs madrid ?? the tag of cheats is hurting more than i ever thought it would, and you got the feeling it will just make us stronger in the long term

the game itself was flat and city played like we have big games coming up and just coasted the game, it was a non contest really west ham never laid a glove on us a miss match really, but again what is it with our finishing and shooting ?? we want to walk the ball in and jesus was the biggest moan, city did all the hard work in the setup up but then he wanted to show off ?? just bloody shoot and put the ball in the net, the whole the ground was in up roar even pep

the result was never in doubt and if city wanted could have move up the gears, but like i said bigger games are coming and west ham was never going to score

overall happy with the result in the context.

i thought Walker was pretty good, loads of good overlaps. Rodri shone because he was allowed to (backhanded compliment!!) and Laporte is hopefully getting fitter. I wanted to slap Aguero at one point, annoyed me for some reason.

I don't know if i'm imagining this, but i think our shape gets pulled too easily to our right flank. The number of times this season ive seen the oppositon do a very simple hooked pass, aimless boot or cross field pass from our right to our left and it end up in acres is not a coincidence anymore

Watched it on sky Germany. No commentary just stadium noise. it was plenty loud.in fact as loud as if the stadium was full which suggests it's the same fans generating the noise at every game.
Agree. Sky turned the volume on the vocal blues: so instead we can all be treated to the talking heads also known as commentators. A misplaced arrogance that will further ruin the game of football if it not already is...

he played ok but seen him play better...he gave the ball away on at least 3 occasions in dangerous areas which led to the potential for break aways - against better team (Lecister, Madrid) that will get heavily punished

Yep. I’m putting it down to lack of match fitness: similar to Jesus.

Here we go,Pep

What is your reaction?

We are appealing focus on football
He trusts the club 100%
We are optomistic we will prevail

Asking him if he going to leave?

I love the club, why would i leave,i will be here next year

I doubt the hacks will listen. Tyler said something along the lines of he would have to say that then went on his usual ramble. A wolf in sheep’s clothing that one.
