Can't see Carroll starting. His work rate is shit and they'll need all outfield players putting in a shift.

He has jarred his knee in training and considered unlikely to start on Sunday not that I think we have anything to worry about anyway if he starts or not.

I don't think its much of a risk at all in resting one or two players and protecting those in danger of a yellow. That's why we have a big squad and its jsut as important to get minutes into those who have not played as much to make sure they are match fit for the log jam of game we have coming up. Also keeps our key players fresh for the games where we are more likely to drop points. Although all games are of equal value in terms of points, its obviously will be a tougher test at the swamp as it is playing at home to W/ham. Would certainly help if arsenal do us a favour but I wouldn't count of that too much and can see the rags nicking a soft late winner
The next game and the next three points are always the most important. You do however have to take into consideration all factors. With a dead rubber in midweek we are able to give anyone starting on Sunday a rest if required. It is essential we win this game against West Ham to make sure we keep that gap for our visit to the swamp. With a bit of luck the gap will be 10/11 points by then.
The rotation argument is a strong one however, but we find ourselves in a bit of a dilemma because there does seem to be a significant fall off in quality when the main men are missing. Against Southampton we were without Sane and Stones with Silva on the bench and we were not at our best and some players did indeed look tired. However the manner of that victory will do wonders for tired limbs. If we can keep this run going until after the Spurs game we will be very hard to catch and then hopefully a combination of factors in January will allow us stay well ahead into February and March.
For Sunday I would only leave Kevin on the bench as he does need to recharge the batteries so as to be fully prepared for the rags and spuds.

Thanks. Our problems start at the top and cascade down. We were conned into leaving our home on the proviso we would start challenging the "next level" when all the board have done is take, take, take. We do things on the cheap (see Hart and Zab), in fact I think our current back 5 cost us 16.5m in transfer fees, we mess around in the transfer market by not signing players in the positions that the manager identifies and then publicly berate him for poor results. We are a joke from top to bottom.

I've seen a few relegations in my time as a Hammer, none are as scary as this one. I'm not worried about playing in the fizzy next season, but I truly despair at what is going to happen to us long term with these parasites "running" us.

On our Man City player...Hart still has massive question marks for me. His decision making seems diabolical at times and he seems to be very slow at getting down to his left. Zab is probably one of the only players that will be able to come out of this season with any sort of credibility, but again he's culpable for a large proportion of our goals conceded. I am NOT looking forward to seeing that young, German fella you guys have on the left up against him.

On the match... We have absolutely no pace in the team. We have a brilliant goal scorer in Hernandez, but no creativity to get the ball into him. Our defence is at sixes and sevens, which if a score, would flatter us. We have no bite in the midfield, no one willing to put a boot in and I struggle to remember putting more than 4 or 5 passes together.

It's a horrible time to be a West Ham fan right now.
So what you're saying is 1-0 to West Ham?

Kompany & Fernandinho should go to the beach for a week, and take KDB with them!

They have 15 fit senior players and are dire. We have to absolutely attack them. Unfortunately as much as I love zabba we have to just pass to same at every opportunity and he will walk past zab.

Hope it is brutal and we raise the goal difference.

What's the point of a squad then if we're playing our best team every game, particularly against probably the worst team in the league right now at home? We keep hearing from everyone, including our own fans, rival fans and pundits that we've got a great squad depth yet we''re the only team not utilising the squad. Look at the team Liverpool put out in their last few games, Coutinho, Firmino,Mane and Salah have all had a decent rest, Look at United at Watford, they rested a few too, and it's a similar situation at Arsenal and Chelsea. We are using about 14 players and it's simply a matter of time before numerous players are on their arse if we carry on. I'm not saying we should go this far but we should be more than good enough to win if we made 6-7 changes on Saturday.

We may be trying to obtain such an unassailable lead in the league before we start to rotate more. The teams you are citing of rotating better than us are considerable behind in the league at the moment, so their rotation policy isn't working out too well is it?

But we haven't struggled until Kompany replaced Stones. Kompany is taller than Stones so it's clearly not a height issue.

We were the last team in the league to concede from a set piece, the Huddersfield goal being the first one all season. That's not "Struggling".

Quite. And it wasn’t even going in. That said, it was more worrying against Saints. That’s got to be stopped. Trust me, it’s the first thing Pep will have been working on (and will continue to address next week) in training.

I think this will be another toughie. Moyes will not want to lose 5 in a row so he will set up accordingly. Daft as it sounds my biggest worry is dinho playing and being booked. He has to play in the derby.

Adrian coming in, you can bet he is going to put a worldly in as that GK position looks up for grabs at the moment with the way Hart has performed this season.

The only real concern I have at the moment is that no doubt Moyes will be licking his lips at how we are defending set-pieces at the moment.

It sounds obvious but the key in these games now is scoring an early goal. If we do that we should have too much as long as we turn up.

I fear you may be right. My money would be on a member of our back 4. Straight red for a tangle with Carroll?
I look at it as who would the rags want most missing and for me there should be plenty of candidates but in their eyes I would think they would get giddy if either Kev/Kun/Merlin were missing

That's if we let them have the ball :)

Another tough game, like Huddersfield and Southampton. Pep will take nothing for granted. We could quite easily have dropped 4 points lately so we need to be 100%.

Fans need to roar us on to another victory.
