West Ham interested in Iheanacho

Again though mate, you are oversimplifying. Kelechi will have a say in all this, we already know his agent is a gobshite - every transfer of a so-called prospect would have a buyback clause if it was that simple, wouldn't it?

No. The buying club might pay the going rate for the player & not have a buyback clause, like witb Sané to us.

The rags have destroyed sanity in the transfer market. We are possibly paying 50 mil for fullbacks as a result. A kid with Kelechi's record, is a goldmine. Not a 20 mil giveaway.

The only reason Iheanacho should go for 20 mil, is if the price includes a buyback clause.

100% agreed, with no buyback we should be asking for at least double that.

I don't think the player would have any say in whether such a clause was inserted, however they would have a big say in whether or not it can be effectively activated. You couldn't activate the clause without the players agreement.

You mean like the clubs lining up for Unal ? I imagine they are not interested in signing a player with a buyback clause, hence Unal being in Spain rather than Dortmund etc.

No one has mentioned a buy back clause I believe outside of here. If clubs had wind of him being available and, if he is such the prospect you think he is, don't you think there would be other clubs showing signs of interest. You have just conceded in replying to another poster that having watch footy for 50 years plus, you cannot make that call as to why he might not make it, but you seem sure that he will.

I have nothing against the lad and wish him well, but I do not think he is as good as you and others perceive.

Why do people have to do this ? I have catagorically said I am not capable of making that call on Iheanacho but you are telling everyone I have, so I have to type this, to avoid a bunch of fucking numpties jumping on it and acusing me of 'knowing more than Pep' & all similar kind of shite.

I don't know if Ibeanacho will become a top player. I do know, that Pep doesn't know either & nor does anyone on here. And those who say they do know, are full of shit.

What I do know for a fact is that his record is almost astonishing.

Imo that would make him cost a lot of money if he was a rag or if we wanted to sign him FROM West Ham or god forbid, Spurs.

I don't know where you have been, but the potential buyout clause has been mentioned over & over again in the media.

Calm down ffs, we differ on opinion - that is allowed. But to admit you dont know whether he will make it yet call the club out if they sell him without a buy back is kind of ironic.

You know quite well it is not your differing opinion I was complaining about, it was misrepresentation.

He has already 'made it' if he plays regularly for West Ham.

My question is whether he will be as good as Jesus & Sané if given regular football.

I think it's possible he might be but it will require him to maintain his current scoring record.

Notice the word 'maintain' . He doesn't actually have to become a 'Pep player' in order to be an elite one, he just has to carry on scoring at the rate he does now.

If he does that at West Ham next season ( note NEXT SEASON ) not for the next 5 years, just one season, & we don't have a buyback, they have a 50 60 miilion player for 20 & we are a bunch of stupid ****s.
