West Ham interested in Iheanacho

Two seasons ago everyone here agree that Iheanacho was one of the best young prospects in the world. This year, because Pep doesn't rate him (for different reasons), most on here seems to think he is suddenly sh*t.

So who should make this decision?

The point is that top managers get it wrong. KDB, Lukaku, Kane, Pogba and so on are examples of this. Kelechi is a young player with a long career ahead of him. Anything can happen in the future but deeming one managers opinion on the player is very naiive.

His record at international level shows that he will score goals where ever he is and that he is not just limited to a poacher as he also plays #10 for the national team at times.

He may not fit with pep but that doesn't mean he can't be world class.

Exactly, toor many people here write off the kid because pep doesn't want to use him. Pep has made so many mistakes this season so you can't take his judgement as gospel.

That's a very dangerous thing to say it on bluemoon. Be careful now. :))

Still waiting to hear how Pep was "wrong" about Eto'o, Ibra, and Yaya.

Barca lost out on a lot of silverware because of his decision to transfer out those players, did they?

All three transfers were totally justified. Eto'o refused to follow Pep's instructions and thought he knows the game better, Ibra was simply very poor, Yaya lost his place to better players.
Questioning our coaching staff's ability to judge players' potential is absurd in case one is not a pro coach/scout himself.

Absolutely correct. Just because they were great players (Yaya has been immense for us, of course) after they left Barca does not mean Pep was wrong about sending them out then.

He has made mistakes, to be sure, but those are not examples of them.

Better close this place down if we can't debate a player's ability/potential or question the decisions of the manager/coaching staff. What an absurd comment to post on a fans' forum.

FWIW I agree with many of NevKnev's comments re Kelechi. I accept that he doesn't quite fit into Pep's system right now but he is a clinical finisher who will score goals at the top level with the right service. A buy-back clause should be a must - who knows how long Pep will be here anyway, football management is so precarious and unpredictable nowadays.
