West Ham - Post match thread

Outstanding performance.
Just wish we'd thrash someone 8 nil and not ease off. Sure that day is not too far round the corner.

I think we are sorted, with Kun and Itchy added to hat we have, especially considering we have at least three midfielders and wingers who can rotate in there, and maybe a youngster who can grab a game. Problem now is keeping everyone happy!!

Kun did not look well pleased on the bench (tbf, who would?!), but after that game who COULD you drop based on performance, and do we have to nurse him along after an injury? I love Sergio as much as the next man, but coaches play Systems and if you don't fit the system, that's a problem...as Zlatan found at Barca.

I hope against hope that Sergio has another gear...or two...in him, because these young guns are just getting warmed up and are a couple of steps ahead already...at 19, 21, and 22 today, and that's not including Itchy!
Who dat?

Sometimes folks need to see these things to understand it. If someone has argued we would have been better with Sanchez than Aguero. Most would cry blue murder. But watching young Jesus on a day like this shows how that is true.

Aguero is individually great, players like Gabriel and Sanchez are team good. They add a fluidity you can't measure in individual goals.
Exactly. I'm convinced more than ever that Aguero will move on this summer. The 'fit' just doesn't look right any more. The team is moving in a new direction and Aguero at the moment looks incapable of moving with it. Hopefully that will change, but it doesn't look too promising for him. Even his desire doesn't appear to be particularly great. Yet he'll need a lot of that to make this work. We keep saying we're seeing the future with Sané, Jesus and Sterling, but we may also be looking at the present! These guys look far too good to ignore.

It's the present. With Aguero holding it off till season's end with great individual perfomances or having a sub role. Both advantage City.
