West Ham United (A) | Sun 7th Aug | Post Match Thread

Without a shadow of a doubt the fans are too far away to the ground I think the stadium is piss poor when it comes to that.

I mean as a place to go and get a result its incredibly tough especially when a big side turn up West Ham can make life really difficult as we found out last season along with Liverpool and Chelsea ect One thing is for sure, Nobody else is capable of doing when we have done to West Ham in their own back garden today. They barely had a kick.
Yep, agreed.

Very much looking forward to MOTD2 later.

Excellent performance from everybody today, the way we kept the ball and used the heat was great and it’s so good to have that central option now Haaland is here. The runs were great and you can already see the fullbacks moving centrally to try and feed him as well.

More to come I hope, but today was a really important game to win only time Inwas nervous was with the Haaland penno as after last weeks miss if he’d missed today it would have been unbearable but he was ice cold (apart from his header)

He gets alot of uncalled for stick and I don't agree with it at all. He is just an easy target for everyone due to his price tag. It takes time to settle in to Peps style of play as a lot of other players have found it difficult in their first season at the club. He will come good though he's too talented not to.
Agreed, and the space Haaland is going to give everyone will benefit him too. Left back and we're away!

The funny thing is they still don't get it.

If we'd signed Ronaldo he'd have scored 40 goals last season. If we'd have signed Fred or Sanchez or Maguire they'd have been great for us too, because we've got a system and a manager and 25 players who get told what to do and how to do it.

Oh, and we'd still have signed Haaland this summer.
Absolutely this. I’ve tried explaining this to rags and fellow Blues and few of either affiliation can get their heads around this.

Rodri is absolutely world class. As in the best of the best in his position. We are incredibly lucky to have him.
Cencelo and Haaland were brilliant. Phil on the right looks very promising.

City are a very good football team and I’ve decided that I like them a lot.

Ha Ha Ha Haaland
We are so so patient, like a cat with a mouse. We all know what’s gonna happen eventually after we have terrorized them for our own sadistic pleasure

Great opening game, slow burner at first but we didnt have what you would call a full pre-season chock full of games, so we are still getting up to speed.

Kevs through ball for Haaland's second is just a taster for what will transpire this season, it will take others to also become aware that this option is now on the table. But the way Erling took that goal was sublime

First time today watching Haaland properly and I didnt realise he was so fast

So excited for the season ahead

onwards and upwards

sky sports gets worse by the week, watched the sunday football show at 10 am this morning , suprise suprise, darren lewis, been on every sunday since covid . and sky in their wisdom, scrapped the sunday supplement, worst football show on tv, he is obsessed with blm, only 2 black captains in prem, no black refs, what a backward step it is to finish with taking the knee, it was supposed to talk about todays games on sky , 30 minutes of utd, 25 on blm, and city got 3 minutes.utter shite .
