West Ham United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread | Champions of England

On the game itself we were superb in that first half. 2-0 up in 20 minutes and absolutely battering West Ham. Only some great saves by their keeper and crap finishing by us stopped us scoring six. Then they scored from the usual set piece and it was nervy until the Rodri goal. We then as good as camped out in their half but they always looked dangerous on the break. When that "Goal" went in on the 87th minute I could have died. I was convinced it was handball but the bloody ref had given it. Those wanting to get rid of var need to bear incidents like this in mind.

thought exactly the same when that handball went in, just tighten up on the laws of the game and tweak offside for daylight but no VAR couldve cost us yesterday but just looka the ARSENAL handball and tellme they are incompetent!

That Arsenal goal was extremely iffy. I'm not sure if Oliver knew our score but if we were drawing or losing that decision could have cost us the title. I can't believe he reviewed it and still allowed it.

Great day yesterday. I was too on edge to enjoy it properly at the time, but you could see from the kick off how focussed the players were on making sure they won the game.

All the goals were top notch, even the West Ham one. Great performance from everyone, but it was fitting that Foden & Rodders got the goals, as they were the best players on the pitch yesterday.

The West Ham fans were spot on too. But I knew this already.

It was a supreme effort for the team to be pretty much flawless for the run in again, to see off a very good Arsenal side.

What a time to follow City!

I have to say I thought Moyes was very classy in his praise for City and for Pep yesterday, he's clearing off so he had no need to make all the usual post-match noises and he didn't. I thought that was quite refreshing.

Moyes used to really irritate me when he was at Everton but at West Ham he has been consitently gracious about City.
