Westworld TV Show

If indeed the
series is set in the same canon/universe as the film then the first of them I also believe could be true, only thing with that us he went to the parks control room in the film

Agreed, I think that's logical really, maybe people look for deeper meanings because of other series where they've tried to be clever and missing things for being simplistic.

I think the man in black is a robot. In the second episode, before he shoots that guys wife, one of the robots nearly shoots him and one attacks him from behind and grabs him. If he was a human they wouldn't be able to do that would they?

I think the intention is to make us think he's a human, the fact nobody got a shot off in the lead up to the hanging tells me the other androids do see him that way, but, I suppose it depends on how they've been programmed, if I'm not mistaken, aren't they all linked in some way ? Maybe they're programmed to recognize all the other androids, and anyone who doesn't fit in or register to a certain code, they are programmed to treat them as a human, or maybe it's just simply that their programming allows them to get rougher with certain humans, remember they were asked questions about their health and mental well being before they entered the complex

One thing i do think is happening is that some of the scenes arent "present day". As the characters are robots and dont age i think some of the scenes and storylines will be revealed to be happening in the past.

Also, i think theres a chance everybody could be a robot apart from Anthony Hopkins character, he's created all the others so why not everyone else. It looks like theres been some kind of apocalyptic event in the outside world ( the storage room was an abandoned shopping mall), so this could be him playing god. Maybe the event they talked about 30 years ago was the end of the old theme park, which could of been the world we are in now which would explain the abandoned shopping mall... The photo of the woman in times square was from that world.

Anyone seen the series after the original film, a few episodes on Kodi atm.

Is that Beyond Westworld? I think they did 3 episodes or something until it got cancelled - might be interesting to watch though.
The sequel, Futureworld, I might check out also - some have said that the Delos globe down in storage is the same area shown in that movie.

I think they can. Don't forget he came to no harm. He shot up a posse when they were about to hang Lawrence too. We've seen scenes were the robots have had their settings tweeked by a few percent here and there too. One of the tech's even suggested that they do something to "slow him down".

Never watched the film. After the first episode, I have zero excitement to watch the next because everything was revealed within the first 10 minutes. For those that have watched the film, is this series likely to have any good plot twists or excitement? Or is it going to be one of those shit family friendly series following the same routine every week?

What was revealed in the first 10 minutes? That they were robots? I dont think that's the mean point of the show though
