We've got enough....

This is the same Liverpool we beat 8-4 on aggregate in the league last year? And would quite likely beaten in the CL with halfway decent ref'ing?

Yeah the team that beat us home and away in the CL.

The reffing was awful but we will never know.

Pep himself says it’s the worst system for us to play. Not saying we can’t beat it more that it’s difficult. Liverpool quite like the opposition having the ball particularly when, man for man, they are the worse team.

I think Pep has already developed the system to beat Liverpool - we saw it in the home Champions League tie.

Essentially, he overloaded the flanks and created a massive U vacating the press through the midfield - they didn't touch the ball for 45 minutes and it was only because of tired legs and the requirement to chase the game which saw it fail in the end.

It requires technicians, and we have plenty.

That opening 43 minutes at home is the best football we have played anywhere and by anyone in a decade. You only have to note Klopp's comments about it.

we could and should of been 3-0 at half time, sane's non goal and bernado unlucky when hitting the post

Another midfielder would be nice but if our business is finished for this summer then I am content with Mahrez as our only addition as he significantly strengthens our forward line.

Laporte gives us a quality defensive option who can play out from the back that we didn't have for the first half of last season and Mendy is basically a new signing that will help to implement the system even more.

Pep probably hasn't built his ideal squad yet but we are getting pretty close.
