What are your expectations for the new manager?

Someone who ships out the players that are no longer good enough

Brings in some quality

Challenges in the league

Gets under performing players playing again (Nasri, Aguero, Silva, Dzeko and Garcia spring to mind)

Gets past the group stages of CL

Doesn't criticise players in public

Continues to win silverware

Gets the press onside where possible

Plays with a more fluid style than Mancini.

Has a plan B.

Just so long as he fits in with the holistic approach he's fine by me.

The stalls been set out though hasn't it? Win a trophy or go. Hopefully the next man is our manager for a long, long time.

Not a chance. Doesn't work like that anymore.

Longest serving manager in premier league bar wenger is now Martinez I think and he will be gone shortly.

Most are under 2 years.

Absolutely this.

And don't bring youth players unless they will make the team better, we can't afford to let Chelsea & rags get away while we blood a few untested youngsters. Ship them out on loan first to other, lower Prem clubs to see if they're good enough, don't drop points finding out.

Needs to win in his first season...

Premier League
Fa Cup
Chumps League
Boat Race
Wimbledon
6 Nations
Grand National
And the fooking Baseball World Series

Premier League and last 8 of the Champions League at a minimum. The bar has been set. The teams competing for the league have all replaced their managers so it is a clean slate next season.

Anything less and I would imagine he'll be gone, whoever it is.

1.That he is given an exciting set of new players to enliven our summer and uplift what had frankly been a shit end to the season.

2. That he plays attacking football and wins games with verve.

3. That he gets us out of the group stages in CL.

4.That he makes us competitive across all fronts and hopefully picks up a pot along the way, breaking his own duck in the process.
