What Can We Do With Milner?

According to Roberto Mancini, he was our best player in our 3-1 victory at Newcastle, but what does he know about football club management? Milner will improve and eventually become our Paul Scholes or dare I say it, Darren Fletcher.

Personally I'd ship him out with the likes of RSC & Jo for being very expensive flops!! No pace, little skill, just an honest, hard working player.

Stoke standard at best in my opinion.

I got him on the back of my jersey after the Liverpool game. Deceiving bastard ;)
It's halfway through the season now, and he's had 2 good games, at most.

He made his Premier Leauge debut at 16! It's odd alright.

PAUL SCHOLES!

That like comparing Jo to Pele!

Paul Scholes is a great passer of the ball, James Milner is not

he's best game for us came in the europa league home game against salzburg he played in 2 man central midfield and was excellent he was all over the pitch a real box to box player i know it was mediocar opposition but it was his best game for us and that is defentily his best position he's wasted out on the wings as he has'nt got the pace even though he can cross a ball he will be a solid squad for us for many years and won't moan about it a bit like zabba

yeah I don't agree with the Scholes comparison at all. If anything, he's (literally) a rich man's Zabaleta, a utility 8-of-all-trades player only further up the pitch. He'll come good.

What about him in a holding mid role? Play a 4-2-3-1.

Hart
Kolarov-K Toure-Kompany-Boateng
Milner-Barry
Johnson-Y Toure-Silva
Tevez

Obvoiusly you can put in Dzeko/Balotelli anywhere in the front 4. I also feel that Johnson needs to be starting more. His speed has been able to replace Bellamy's and he isn't a headcase like Craig was.

Just some thoughts.

Milners getting there, still settling in and getting use to the step up in quality, got faith milner will come good

what the? what on earth are you talking about. stop making excuses for him it's January. Look at Silva, plenty more to adjust to for him I would think.

what you are seeing is what he is. a hard working defensive midfielder with decent skill going forward. nothing elite about him.

Silvas played alongside class players all his life coming through the ranks with spain. If you ever played football you'll know how hard it can be to adjust when your use to playing with players on a certain level then suddenly your asked to up it. I'm not sayin he'll make it at city and if he carries on playing out wide he's defo wont but given time he'll be a good central midfielder for us. Players do and will improve if given time

Sod all he is crap end of. No pace, no ability. This he works hard stuff is nonsense, he wins few tackles or headers gives the ball away and doesnt actually work harder than any other player (maybe Yaya) I think he is someone we would offlaod and never miss but who will a) want to buy him based on his performances for City, or b) pay his wages if they did want him. RMs worst signing by miles. Better English players wouldnt have cost much more i.e. Parker, Downing, Young, Lennon.
