Yes, left-back has been the missing link for years, we'll never win anything without one, Pep needs to hang his head in shame.

bloody hell, if we get Bernardo to sign for Saudi I'd be delighted (i'd rather he stay), but the lad wants to go and at least in that scenario we would actually get something approaching his real value, a huge fee for Mahrez at this stage of career would also be an FFP bonus and again Laporte wanted to leave last summer, I'd guess he will also go, he didn't get much game time last season, hopefully, we get 50m+ for him.

It also won't matter who we sign the CS isn't the game to dread anyway, a glorified friendly that Pep will no doubt play 5 academy lads in.
 
Goals & assists from midfield. Kev’s injured, Gundogan’s gone and Bernie probably be next, Foden will have a good season but could still play on the wings, Alvarez ain’t an attacking midfielder.

As it stands, it’s a lot for Foden & McAtee; especially in a 3241 system with 2 attacking midfielders.
