What happened to the fella off here who.....

Bill do you have his IP address so you can check if he is back on here again under a new name?

If he is, he deserves a life ban for making up such bollocks.

There was nothing mentioned on the news, in the papers or online about a crash - a crash which would have made local headlines at least. Other posters noticed this too.

His fight story was inconsistant - on one particular day he said he had been called to the police station that afternoon and recieved a lot of advice and good luck wishes- when quizzed as to how he went on the next day he denied that he had been at all saying that he wasn't due to go for a couple of weeks - odd to say the least.

I didn't see it but someone posted that another of his threads - one about a bottling somewhere I think - was a load of cobblers too.

Make your own minds up.
me and my mum said this to each other when he first wrote the thread(and again couple days later)

didnt de niro set off to meet him to get told not to go as his sister was there? i think if de niro has spoken to his sister then i dont see why someone would ever make something like that up, pretty tasteless to think of that about someone aswell in my opinion.

a guy's wife and daughter died in a car crash and his lad was in a critical condition in hospital. that doesn't sound like a wind up to be fair. I think if that happened to me, i'd only come on here if before hand a mod asks everybody not to talk about it. i'd be typing on topics at the same time thinking ''when i was last on here, they were alive.'' sorry but i dont think coming back onto a football forum after such circumstances would be high on my agenda.

hope everything is ok with fixer and his court case about that fight went alright. he may off even been sent down for all we know.
I set off to meet him to hopefully comfort him in his grief as his own family were away, I'd had a couple of beers so our Jess drove me, he got in touch when I was about half way saying he was off to the hospital to see his surviving son and to turn back, not heard a peep from him since, the contact has been via a pm from another bluemooner say fixer was to stay with extended family and would not return for some time, he was to rent his house out.
Heard nothing at all since.
On the face of it I look a fool but I don't care, the lad seemed devastated so I tried to help, I'd rather look a mug that any child or woman be killed or harmed.
I'd do it again in 5 seconds flat.

Never in a million years are you a fool for the help you gave / offered to fixer that night.

Got nothing but total respect to you for your efforts to help & support a fellow blue in an hour of complete darkness.

One thing that I love about this forum no matter who you are and how much of a twat you act like on here if your are in a position of someone's help or just someone to talk to in a time of need EVERYONE on this forum is more then willing to put some of their personal stuff on hold to help out and thats why I love it here.

I am many of one who was really upset to hear what happened to The Fixer and was distraught by it.

De Niro you did one of the most unselfish acts I ever seen on here in taking your time to go see The Fixer and show some support you may think its foolishness but I see it as one of the most generous acts I've seen on this forum.

Trust me Bill, no-one on here thinks you're a fool for your actions that night. If he did play you, the fact that you went to his aid says an awful lot for your moral fibre, and the fact that someone would do that for someone else reinstates my faith in people.

Having been on here at all times over the last six months you get to pick up on the patterns of some posters. And I've noticed De Niro is on Bluemoon most mornings very early. He's also a busy man and occasionally a little grumpy at that time.

What no-one appears to have picked up on here is that within a relatively short space of time of the original post De Niro immediately asked him if he had anyone with him. And then offered to go and see if he was ok.

I like to think I'm a good judge of people (who doesn't) but to me those were the actions of a top bloke, irrespective of how genuine the situation was (or how grumpy he may have been feeling at that time).

I've got my own views on this matter (as will anyone reading this thread) but there was nothing other than common decency and a sense of social responsibility in what De Niro did, and the only people who are foolish are any people who can't see that.

i first met deniro in aalborg and knew him immediately to be a top top man. I wasn't on bluemoon then. A mate of mine who was said there were posted pics of me etc, so i joined. I know people very well. I had an altercation in aalborg and deniro was a decent human being over it all.

Met him since a couple of times! This world would be a better place with the likes of de niro. To drop everything and go to a mans aid who he only knows from behind a keyboard is exemplary!

This unsavoury post we are talking about is and was rubbish! De niro came out of it well showing what a great bloke he is. His family and close friends are lucky! He is a well brought up decent human being. Well done de niro I remember reading that night with a lump in my throat and tear in my eye as the story unfolded.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

I really hope Fixer was winding us up. That way, despite being an idiot of incomprehensible measures, Fixer still gets to go home and see his beautiful wife and children every day. I'd rather be wound up by a poster on a forum than have Fixer lose his closest family members.

And credit to Bill too. What a top bloke you are for offering to meet him. And credit to your daughter too, for offering to drive you there.

This does all seem a bit fishy to me now, but we will no doubt hear the end of it by the turn of the year.

It wouldn't be the first time there's been a sick wind-up on Bluemoon.

I'd like to be charitable to anyone who does it & say that they must have real problems & don't genuinely mean to annoy/upset other people.
