What has the UK become?

What is hilarious is your belief that the Americans are nobbling China’s ‘peace plan’. They aren’t. The Americans and the Chinese are bystanders in this conflict. Your US centric view of the world is blinding you to reality in this matter as it does in others. The only two countries that can decide to cease or continue fighting are Russia and Ukraine. No one else. That is the reality, and not to be confused with ‘the reality’ to be found in the bowels of a YouTube video.
Do not know about China, not sure how one could call America as bystander with over $100B committed. Nord stream pipeline taken care of, arms and ammunition being sent over while at home inflation is out of control and banks are imploding.

I would really hope America becomes a bystander and stops throwing more money and resources at this war and focus at home.

For you to believe this is not a proxy war for US who have the Russians as their perpetual enemy is incredible.

You can believe as you wish that Ukraine is not filled with corrupt government officials, including Zelenskyy, the oscar accepting president. I mean, who the fook accepts movie stars to fawn at your feet when you're at war?!

Whatever.

Oh dear, the delusion is strong with this one. Your obsession with the US is warping reality. The US and Europe made strenuous efforts to prevent the conflict, an odd stance to take if they wanted a proxy war.

The irony is that no one in the US or Europe thought Ukraine would last 5 minutes in a conflict with Russia. No one wanted this conflict and if Russia now finds itself trapped in a war where it badly underestimated its opponent then the fault and blame lies with Russia and no one else.

Finally, at least try and come with some original thoughts on the conflict rather than regurgitating Russian propaganda and talking points from the far right and far left.

Last time I looked, the US had sent around $30 billion in arms which is a around 5% of the US defence budget.Stopping it would make zero difference to the rate of inflation or banks going belly up.

China has sent aid to Russia, but not on the same scale. The US and China are bystanders in that neither country is directly involved in the conflict and both countries would rather there was no conflict. This is more true of China now than at the start as they were assured it would be all over in a couple of weeks.

Now we are all stuck with it. Thanks Putin, you stupid, fascist ****.

The US involvement makes all the difference, the moment US pulls out and drops sanctions, the oil price drops and that will directly impact the inflation and need for raising rates and banks collapsing.

A cesspit. And the blame rests with Tories and a burgeoning ultra-nationalism.
The blame lies with everyone, no one is owed anything just for being born. If one doesn't want ro live and experience all that's out there, so be it, that's one's choice.

Keeps litter pickers in jobs I suppose

No budget for them.

The A75 in south west Scotland is a nations shame up here due to the litter.

It’s disgusting in what is one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the UK.

You mean the moment the west gives Russia the go ahead to overrun Ukraine and move on to the next target in Putin’s sights everything will be fine.

Delusional.

You sound like one of those MAGA loonies.

That is only part of the story though. Yes, the oil sanctions seem to be hitting us harder than Russia, but the boost to our arms industry this conflict gives us is a powerful stimulus to western economies. We can probably depend upon this for at least another 6-9 months in terms of resupplying Ukraine and beyond that in terms of replenishment of our own armed forces. At a time when the global economy is in the doldrums this is a welcome boost.

And I'M the delsional one?!! LOL!!

I'm pretty SURE how hawkish Clinton and Biden are have driven this thing. You're so delusional, you fail to see how much of the US economy is driven by the US involvement in war.

You FAIL to see how much of the US budget is given to the MIC. You constantly turn a blind eye to the involvement in these wars by organisations such as BlackRock and BlackStone who, funnily enough, have inserted their former people into higher offices in Gov, so will always push towards approving and building weapons of war and being in war.

And the delusion is strong in me???

Hilarious!! I had a minute to type this as I'm out the door for work and won't be back for a few days.

One day you smell the coffee after doing a touch of research into BlackRock and its fingers in Ukraine...
