The short answer is that it would be a big risk. We somehow pulled it off last season — due to Pep's brilliance, and his ability to shuffle people around, and get people doing the jobs that they didn't really think they could do. Which he's been doing ever since he arrived. But our principle striker for the last ten years has just left us. Furthermore, according to all reports, he was ready to sign again for another year. We need another striker. If he's not top drawer, then yes, try and get by with what we've got. There's no point in blowing a load of money for another Bony. But I think we're beyond that, now.
