What if we just went with Delap, Jesus, and Torres?

The short answer is that it would be a big risk. We somehow pulled it off last season — due to Pep's brilliance, and his ability to shuffle people around, and get people doing the jobs that they didn't really think they could do. Which he's been doing ever since he arrived. But our principle striker for the last ten years has just left us. Furthermore, according to all reports, he was ready to sign again for another year. We need another striker. If he's not top drawer, then yes, try and get by with what we've got. There's no point in blowing a load of money for another Bony. But I think we're beyond that, now.

No, others are strengthening and you need new blood to keep current players on their toes.

There were signs of complacency last season, lets not forget we only had 6 great months.

If not for that truly remarkable turnaround in form, Txiki and co would probably be busy revamping the squad right now like PSG.
