What is wrong with our support?

I thought it was decent last night, fecking hell I even heard some booing at half time, what was that all about ?

surrounded by moaning bastards week in and week out now and not all of them are "new" fans, they need to have a reality check.

Sorry but I heard some very loud and vocal support for our team. I must have been at a different stadium or maybe need my ears tested.

Really? I know what squeeze and hold tight are in Spanish i heard Casillas shout tonight.

Forget the last 20 mins when we got the goal, that all of a sudden doesn't make the atmosphere any good.

What did he say?

I'll be honest, these last few euro crowds have been far from what I ever imagined I would see at City. This is because until a couple of years ago, the prospect of tourist types and day trippers turning up to watch our team never entered my head.

I've used it as a stick to beat the rags with for years (well...there wasn't much else I could use was there ha) so I will happily admit, it made me cringe to see it at our ground last night. I know it is a sign of progression but hopefully not a sign of things to come. If it was like that in the league it would completely ruin attending games for me.

What I don't understand is why more regulars didn't turn up. I know it's not cheap, and yet this was against Real Madrid, a team most fans never thought they would see step out against City unless we were lucky enough to play them in a pre season friendly. I'm not having a go at people who chose not to go, I just don't understand why they wouldn't attend this particular game. I would have crawled over broken glass to get the chance to watch us play Real Madrid at home and that's coming from someone lucky enough to watch us at the Bernabeu.

Try using an actual stick next time.

I also thought the atmopshere was decent tonight.

Yes it was flat after they scored(here we go again), and for most of the 1st half, but it improved in the second half.

A combination of a better team performance, a goal, and Tranny, added to a good second half on the terraces.

Thought the SS did their bit as well tonight.

BTW. Thought Madrids vocal support was woeful tonight.

PS. I couldn't give a toss about Twatter.

Spot on for me.

That said, normally we really do need to get behind them a bit more, its almost like we refuse to commit until we're two up or two down. Never be like the Kippax old days but we could give it a go.

How many rival fans are going to tweet about the atmosphere at our ground and praise it even if it's amazing, can you imagine a good atmosphere at Old Trafford (hard I know) and then you going and posting about how wonderful it is on twitter. If you search things like that into you're just looking to read abuse. I was in 109 and thought it was a good laugh, obviously the boring fucks that don't join in are the exact people that come on here and complain about it, it's unbelievable!

If I were you I'd stop reading United fans tweets and looking for negative comments and just enjoy the match. Maybe even join in yourself.
