What is wrong with our support?

I'll be honest, these last few euro crowds have been far from what I ever imagined I would see at City. This is because until a couple of years ago, the prospect of tourist types and day trippers turning up to watch our team never entered my head.

I've used it as a stick to beat the rags with for years (well...there wasn't much else I could use was there ha) so I will happily admit, it made me cringe to see it at our ground last night. I know it is a sign of progression but hopefully not a sign of things to come. If it was like that in the league it would completely ruin attending games for me.

What I don't understand is why more regulars didn't turn up. I know it's not cheap, and yet this was against Real Madrid, a team most fans never thought they would see step out against City unless we were lucky enough to play them in a pre season friendly. I'm not having a go at people who chose not to go, I just don't understand why they wouldn't attend this particular game. I would have crawled over broken glass to get the chance to watch us play Real Madrid at home and that's coming from someone lucky enough to watch us at the
Bernabeu.

My thoughts exactly, even saw some guy on his effin iPad!!

Ipad in block 122?

I thought it was pretty good last night but should have been better given the occasion.Full of tourests though. I was in 111 and most of the songs came from 110, so tried to keep an ear out so I could join in and try and spread them into 111. The accustics really are bad on the lower tier as the songs were often drown out by the two obsolute fookin tossers behind me thinkin they were Mancini and giving constant opinions on the game-loudly so everyone around them could hear how knowledgable they are. I really couldnt handle being stood infront of two complete toss pots all season.

I think the club should look into extending some sort of roof goin from the bottom of the second tier over the bottom so the sound travels alot better.

Lets put another 4 roofs on then the place will be buzzin

This.

just googled etihad stadium atmosphere and it came up with this.........

Nitrogen (N2) 780,840 ppmv (78.084%)
Oxygen (O2) 209,460 ppmv (20.946%)
Argon (Ar) 9,340 ppmv (0.9340%)
Carbon dioxide (CO2) 394.45 ppmv (0.039445%)
Neon (Ne) 18.18 ppmv (0.001818%)
Helium (He) 5.24 ppmv (0.000524%)
Methane (CH4) 1.79 ppmv (0.000179%)
Krypton (Kr) 1.14 ppmv (0.000114%)
Hydrogen (H2) 0.55 ppmv (0.000055%)
Nitrous oxide (N2O) 0.325 ppmv (0.0000325%)
Carbon monoxide (CO) 0.1 ppmv (0.00001%)
Xenon (Xe) 0.09 ppmv (9×10−6%) (0.000009%)
Ozone (O3) 0.0 to 0.07 ppmv (0 to 7×10−6%)
Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) 0.02 ppmv (2×10−6%) (0.000002%)
Iodine (I2) 0.01 ppmv (1×10−6%) (0.000001%)
Ammonia (NH3) trace

Isn't it strange what a small % Hydrogen is, given most of the matter in the Universe is comprised of it?

Is that not carbon?

fair enough. you honestly telling me though you would want our ground to end up like uniteds though regardless of trophys won. Dont get me wrong anyone can watch us and people who pay and get off there arses deserve to be there, but I could not deal with coach loads of fans that are only there cos we are winning, glory hunters and people who dont really care. just my opinion btw.

Go and support county or oldham then because thats where we'll be in a few years.

Success comes with a price.

Its our job to make sure new fans understand how to behave.

We will never be like utd, ever.
