What is wrong with our support?

A team that includes Silva, Aguero, Yaya Toure - Check
Champions League under floodlights - Check
The opposition are Real Madrid - Check
Ronaldo the 2nd best player in the world is a former rag - Check
Must win game - Check
Support from the stands - Missing

Seriously what is wrong? It is worrying as even though there were a number of "tourists" with their camera's out tonight there wasn't as many as Liverpool, United or Arsenal and it is going to get worse as real fans are priced out and replaced by these day trippers.

The support tonight was awful, something needs to change and quickly. Is it the logistics of the ground and set up or is it our attitude?

Why can we produce a European atmosphere like we did against Hamburg with a shitter team than in a must win game against Madrid with a fantastic team? Did the £5 tickets really bring in 20,000 missing supporters who support their side or do we relish being shit with a small hope of achieving something and then revelling in being let down again?

the only problem with our support is whiny sods like you.

I fucking dont.

fair enough. you honestly telling me though you would want our ground to end up like uniteds though regardless of trophys won. Dont get me wrong anyone can watch us and people who pay and get off there arses deserve to be there, but I could not deal with coach loads of fans that are only there cos we are winning, glory hunters and people who dont really care. just my opinion btw.

Go and support county or oldham then because thats where we'll be in a few years.

Success comes with a price.

Its our job to make sure new fans understand how to behave.

We will never be like utd, ever.

it only comes with a price if tickets are too expensive though, keep ticket prices reasonable and it wont happen. no one before abramovich would have thought that there ( chelseas)fanbase would have changed so much though- ie they now have a completely different match going crowd.

Had 5 spaniards near us last night 3 girls, 2 lads, and I'd have them back before the regulars, they were great, sang most of our songs, and gave madrid, ronaldo, and mourinho plenty of shit, better than the arms folded blues that are normally in those seats.

We will expand the stadium and keep the prices similar.

We dont have enough proper blues to fill 50+ thousand though.

We have enough on the fringe with interest and hopefully enough band wagoners to make the numbers up.

Because we gather a few tourists doesnt mean we will turn out like the rags.

I don't want to be inflammatory but, I read a book last summer by a fan - forgotten name exactly but something akin to 'more money than god'? anyway, great read and may help explain some of the apparent apathy among some fans.

In essence; Struggling to feel so much passion for a club which no longer feels like 'ours'..........................

spanish reporters at the ethiad were saying that city are well known for having the most loyal fans but at the game the only fans making noises were the madrid fans city fans were quiet he said

I am shocked if people thought that was good tonight.

Type in etihad atmosphere or man city fans atmosphere into twitter and see what other fans thought.

how would other fans know what the atmosphere is like?
On the list of things to be pissed off about on wednesday, other fans isn't very high up

Atmosphere

Are we just chilled out mancs , where singing isn't something we do. I've never really been a singer more of a shouter , come on blues etc etc

Singing bluemoon and the usual doesn't appeal to me. So i can't criticize the atmosphere.

It used to be when we played a team who were clearly better than us , the fans would raise the atmosphere. Now its not the case.

What a load of Crap. he needs to get along to Stockport county and stop calling himself a City fan. We are at the start of the best times in the history of the club. if you want to be a small time winger see ya.
