What problems will Covid solve ?

I’m not a rabid royalist, but he’s the heir to the throne. What sort of country wouldn’t test its deputy head of state, especially given his age and that of his parents. Not sure that’s going to be the defining moment in your desire for a Republic, mate.
Probably not but I live in Hope.
The phrase "we're all in this together" just isn't true when he gets tested over a nurse or child or doctor.

repossessions/homeless numbers to ramp up, then rocket as brexit applies the coup de grace. Much more severe than previous meltdowns. Life expectancy to continue it's downward trend of the last decade. Many pension funds will founder, the FTSE will bump along sub-2000, allotments and food banks for half the population.
With Trump's finger on the nuclear button, and his links to the Kremlin, plus the common enemy being an ever more belligerent China, add to that the coordinated
rise of far-right populists...... Looming over all is climate failure, a climate that keeps three-quarters of the population of Earth fed on rice, maize cattle etc. all of them depending on things staying the same, such as rainfall, sea level, seasons even.
Optimism looks more and more like whistling in the dark, fingers crossed. Amen...

I thought I was a miserable ****!

It’s been nice to see knife crime and the senseless stabbing of gang members killing each other out of the news.
Maybe with time to ponder this could cease and the wasteful loss of young men could at least decrease.
Judging by what sort of crime is still ongoing I doubt it unfortunately.

I am hoping this helps to change the vast inequalities of wealth distribution. There are millions of people who are in the front line helping us all who are paid minimum wage or slightly above.

A reassessment of the real threats to our country and indeed the world. It isn't being invaded by an army, another blitz, a nuclear attack. Our trillions spent on defence around the world are as useful as trying to put out a Forrest fire by pissing on it. We have tanks by the million, planes, rockets, armies navies and most are also in lockdown.

We need a global effort to realise it's viruses, their spreading and having the equipment we need to deal with it is the priority.. Trident can go to fuck. Our desperately trying to he a big shot needs to change. We aren't a big shot.

Helping under developed countries up their animal husbandry and especially China. Its an insurance policy because if we dont stop it at source, we won't stop it turning up here.

The defence of the realm has changed. Our resources need to be mobilised to the real threat and not the bullshit and fear generated by arms dealers and the military themselves to justify massive spending on stuff that does fuck all.

The NHS needs massive investment and an increase in pay for the troops we actually need. Social Care also needs investment. Iran or Russia isn't going to take us down. China has through their fucking despicable husbandry and let's eat anything that moves attitude. They have to be told to sort that out or we isolate your country. Other parts of the world have these " wet markets" too. They will need financial help, chinà doesn't.

The planet, we can already see the benefits to her, this should hopefully change our attitude and if the Americans get rid of their Moron in Chief, hopefully they will get behind addressing global warming..

It should help us become more compassionate, but those with the power and the money will fight it. We need to remove tax havens, get these bastards to pay their tax and jail all who don't.

The man got into Cambridge with 2 A-levels. He's been jumping the queue his whole life. He's not going to stop now.

it appears to have solved people dying:

Best winter season for years.

The nhs and her workers will be very tired,it would be good to give them a proper pay rise and working conditions

I wonder if we will be nicer worldy beings

Agreed, one thing that this crisis has shown is the when a Government needs to find money it can, the wages for nurses and support staff over the years has been nothing short of shamefull.
