7) Have there been any complaints about the force’s handling of the incident, given the route of both team coaches including Manchester City’s was changed and then details were published both by the police and on the Liverpool FC club website?

The force has received no formal complaint relating to this incident.

Right, where's me pen??!

Right everyone!

You've got to read this.

The MCEN doing a Sterling job again.

That new Geordie Editor in Chief is doing a 'Sterling' job at the MEN.

The Manchester Evening News has once again approached Merseyside Keystone Cops and has asked them for an update into the coach attack investigation. Their responses are comical. Here you go. :-) Lol! https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...rseyside-police-investigation-attack-14762031
The new editor in chief should also be hounding the Mayor of Manchester asking why he's very quiet on the matter!

First response from the dipper dibble was "what incident" ? When i gave them the precise time and date it jogged their memory , i then had to wait 20days (now 14 days) for an update on their "investigation" that must be a big book of excuses. The Roma fans who knifed the red shite supporter were locked up and apprehended within an hour using video evidence and eye witnesses , truly (Raheem) sterling police work when the candlelighters are attacked.
Although they are not the football club i despise the most , the Rags get that award , their scummy supporters are in a different league of hatred , cowardly, mardy arse , self serving ,self pitying , self rightheous , 'istree loving , f*cking losers , every last one of them.
Get the corrupt ****s investigated

Just in case you missed the MEN article and the link.

The 6 questions the MEN asked the Merseyside Keystone Cops.

Note: 7. Not one of the questions. Earlier on in the article. They have had no official complaint/s about the coach attack.

This was revealed as the M.E.N submitted a list of six key questions to the force over the investigation here are Merseyside Police’s answers in full here:

1) It is now just over two months since the bus attack before the match Anfield on April 4th but we’ve been told there have been no arrests, is that still the case?

There have been no arrests to date.

2) The day after the attack the force appealed for any video footage, of which there is a large amount on social media, to be sent to them and said: “We will do everything in our power to find those responsible and put them before the courts.”

How much footage has been forthcoming?

For operational reasons, we cannot go into details at this time.

3) Why have no images or descriptions / details of any potential suspects have been released?

Where appropriate, we issue images and descriptions to assist appeals. We know many people were filming the events with camera phones and continue to ask that anyone with any footage of the projectiles being thrown send it to a dedicated email address so that it can be reviewed: team.coach.incident@merseyside.pnn.police.uk

4) Can you tell us where the investigation is therefore up to and what efforts are being made to trace those responsible?

We are treating this incident extremely seriously and enquires are ongoing to speak to witnesses and all available footage is being assessed.

5) Are Manchester City being kept up to date with the status of the investigation?

We are continuing to work with both clubs to help identify those responsible.

6) What measures were put in place to prevent a repeat of the attack for the semi-final first leg against Roma, given that Liverpool supporters were pictured sat on the top of police vans with pyrotechnics?

As with any home fixture, Merseyside Police had a comprehensive policing operation in place alongside Liverpool Football Club in preparation for the fixture.

7) Have there been any complaints about the force’s handling of the incident, given the route of both team coaches including Manchester City’s was changed and then details were published both by the police and on the Liverpool FC club website?

The force has received no formal complaint relating to this incident.

Lieing Scouse b******'s!

It's a f***ing Merseyside Police redwash. They are hoping this dies a death quietly. And it will all be forgotten about over time. Just read their replies again. Text book Police replies.

They won't dare charge or drag one or two Liverpool fans into Court and make them the scapegoats for the coach attack. There would be a huge backlash from Liverpool fans. FSG, LFC and Meseyside Police will not do anything to upset the over sensitive Liverpool fans. They are untouchable via their previous protests and campaigns.

If its just a poultry figure for smashing up a team bus and no other sanctions it might just convince some fans to smash the living shit out of there coach when they come to Manchester. Assuming we first put shares into paraffin to offset the fine !

Surely the bloke who tweeted for the fans to do it 4 weeks before is guilty of a charge & easy to identify.

Anyone stood on a vehicle.

As has been proven the police, media & any organisation are petrified of holding them accountable.

What have they got to lose? Far worse to be late on the pitch?
Out of interest what would they have charged for pigeons having it off or a squirrel running on the pitch?

Agreed, you only have to look at the fans on those police vans to know the dipper dibble are just puppets on a string. They have absolutely no authority at Anfield. They must be the laughing stock of the national police force.

Did we get a fine for throwing paper aeroplanes?

Best to keep the moral high ground here, no?

Is the correct answer.. Just because thousands of grown up people who should know better gathered on the streets to commit hundreds/thousands of orchestrated criminal acts against our team’s bus, it doesn’t mean we should behave in similar fashion in reprisal. As Michelle Obama put it, quite brilliantly, a couple of years ago, ‘When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level; no, our motto is - when they go low, we go high’ And further, as Jorge Calderon/Jackson Browne put it, ‘My personal revenge will be to show you/ The kindness in the eyes of my people/ Who have always fought relentlessly in battle/ And been generous and firm in victory’
