What UEFA Coach attack Investigation?

I strongly disagree with that. The Roma coach wasn't attacked. I actually think it's a bit of a push to claim the city coach was attacked by the way. It had a few cans thrown at it which isnt a big deal and a couple of bottles by a handful of idiots which is clearly unacceptable but not the widespread attack everyone seems to paint it as.

The welcoming of the coaches happened 90 mins before kick off as the teams arrived. The Roma fans attacked behind the kop about 30 mins before kick off and it was over in moments. There was a heavy police presence there in seconds. They weren't marauding the streets for an hour.

Sitting on top of a police van to get a good view...lock them up!

And to suggest that it's the fault of Liverpool fans and Merseyside police for a lad almost dying and being put into a coma following an attack by Roma ultras clearly intent on violence is bizarre.

Football is tribal and we all have our biases but you're in danger of sounding hysterical. Too much faux outrage loses credibility

Are you on spice? I would put together a more reasoned and cohesive argument but you are obviously thick as fuck or a WUM. So I put it to you that your cock looks like a budgies toe.

Haha that actually made me laugh.

Genuinely not here to wind anyone up or be a pain in the arse. I read the forum occasionally and decided I'd like to contribute to the discussion. I thought I might be able to bring a bit of perspective or a different view as I thought a lot of the comments were a bit flippant and dramatic, that's all

Ok, I see how that comes across. Maybe not the best choice of words. However, I dont think that drinks cans being thrown amounts to a proper attack if you know what I mean? We aren't talking bricks and fans trying to get at the players or anything.

The few bottles were dangerous and crossed the line though and the people who threw them should be punished

For what it’s worth I’m not really that arsed about your scallies attacking our coach and I really don’t think it effected the result at all. But to say you think it wasn’t an attack or was by only a few is far fetched in the extreme. It adds to the perception that scousers will admit to nothing, it’s never their fault. Had you stuck to, yes a large number of our fans behaved disgracefully but we’re not all like that, I would of had more respect for you.
By the way I welcome the view of opposing fans on this forum and have never insulted any of them before. However the budgies toe comment still stands.

Lets face it you're not exactly new to violence in Europe but you set a precedent by attacking our team bus so don't expect anything but hatred from us towards your horrible and deluded fans.

its never liverpool's fault and its not the first time is it and its always somebody else to blame, shocking the manchester city coach attack and not just cans and bottles but flares bricks stones anything to hand, and it was like watching a 1980s football hooligan film about the scum of liverpool, animals the lot of them and what is more shocking is liverpool football club back the idea and the police helped in anyway they could

watch the amazon program to see pep getting of the coach and saying to the police thanks guys for your help, uefa did nothing and the police did nothing and worst liverpool fc did everything to fuel the fire, and they have the cheek to lined up and shake the city players hands, i think the 2 games coming up vs liverpool this season will be electric and we will have something up our sleeves and the respect will be given then its a war

I went to Southport for a day over summer. Never seen as many tattoos, under armour clothing, Liverpool tops and rough people in one spot.

My conclusion- majority of scousers are not that pleasant.

I'm over there nearly every day, with work. My ears are bleeding by the time i get home.

I didn't say that you said the attack was Liverpool fans fault, I was just referring to what had been suggested elsewhere - that the coach welcome meant police couldn't deal with the Roma hooligans and so Liverpool fans and police were responsible for it.

Of course Merseyside police fucked up with the Roma fans. They should have spotted that firm. They spotted almost all others and escorted them to the ground fine though. They had a tight grip of loads of them all day before the game. They usually manage things Ok, this one went wrong, they lost a mob that were trying to go under the radar and they should accept criticism for it. But, it can happen and the attack on the lad is nobody's fault but the lads that are up in court for it.

As for not accepting responsibility, I've acknowledged that the dickheads throwing bottles should be punished. I've said it's unacceptable and dangerous.

I don't know why anyone hasn't been arrested for it. It might have something to do with the fact that police don't know who threw a bottle? I've seen videos and I don't know. Do you? Show me the face of a bottle thrower if you can? I imagine they are hard to spot in the crowds.

I'm not saying Liverpool fans can do no wrong. I'm just trying to bring a bit of perspective.

And thanks but I'd rather be found dead in a ditch than go on rawk

Here we go again.

The Police couldn’t deal with Roma fans because of the coach attack, sorry, welcome. Tell us what the welcome was for the City players and the coach? You seem to be mixing up a welcome for the Liverpool players and an attack on the City players. I stand corrected on this, but didn’t the Seville coach get attacked in an earlier round, or was it another team?

So Merseyside Police couldn’t muster enough officers to Police another coach welcome, and at the same time Police a few 1000 Roma fans. F*** off! More excuses. If Merseyside Police couldn’t do that, they must have a staffing crisis. But 10 Police vans arrived out of the blue to corner the 50 Roma fans after they attacked Liverpool fans, according to you. Right place, right time, ah.

Where else in the UK are football fans allowed to light flares, stand on Police vechicles, throw bottles, cans, flares, missiles, use foul language, etc, and get away with it, with the Police amongst the crowd, while not do anything? No where. It seems Liverpool fans are a law to themselves in Liverpool and outside Anfield. It’s obvious they can do what they want with little fear of arrest or being banned by the club. Let me put it another way. FSG, LFC and Merseyside Police are all shit scared of upsetting Liverpool fans. Who isn’t? Dare anyone say anything bad about Liverpool and their fans. That much was evident when FSG tried to raise season ticket and matchday ticket prices and 1000’s of Liverpool fans walked out of the ground protesting. God forbid if FSG, LCC and Merseyside Police put a stop to the coach welcoming/attacks. Here’s a thought. What’s going to happen if Liverpool draw United in this season’s CL? Please tell me what kind of reception the United coach will get. *Let’s see you bullshit your way out of that question*.

Have you ever seen Police officers with video cameras at matches? Have you ever seen Police surveillance vans at matches? If so, what were they doing that night? Let’s not bullshit. Merseyside Police have got footage of the attack. The have video equipment that can pin-point people and faces. Not 1 person has be arrested. Never mind 5, 10, or 15 People. Not 1 person. The Police would and should of had spotters everywhere. They did. Again, why where Police vechiles used as vantage points for fans to stand on and throw missiles from. Just think about it for a minute. Police vechicles with Liverpool fans all over them. If one person tried that in Manchester they would be dragged into the Police van and taken to the nearest Police Station. But not in Liverpool. Not that they needed telling, but City warned Merseyside Police that they were being forced into a trap. Merseyside Police and LFC gave the change of route details out earlier that day, so every Liverpool fan knew where to wait for both coaches. City were setup. LFC and Merseyside Police put the coach welcome and Liverpool fans first before the safety of the City players and staff.

It’s fair to say this coach welcoming will happen again this season in the CL. And once again there is a chance Liverpool will draw another English club. So what’s going to happen? Will City and other teams be forced to run the gauntlet again, or are FSG, LFC, LCC and Merseyside Police going to do the right thing and announce the coach welcomings are being stopped before something more serious happens?(not a f***ing chance) I’ll tell you one thing. City will not allow the same scenario to played out again this season if we draw Liverpool in the CL. Not a f***ing chance! It will be up to Liverpool and Merseyside Police to guarantee the safety of the City players and staff.
