What UEFA Coach attack Investigation?

Ok, the bus was hit with a number of cans. Who actually cares about that? A few bottles were thrown which is clearly disgraceful and that's what caused the damage. However, some people go on like the tyres were slashed and the windows all bricked then the thing set on fire, has anyone got a picture of it showing all the damage? People acting like it was unable to move when the reality is that it probably just wasn't quite up to a strict view of the highway code etc. A cracked window or door was it?

Throwing glass bottles should not happen and should be punished, no matter how small the number. However, flicked v's from the crowd and thrown half empty drinks cans getting a bit of beer on the windscreen is nothing to be getting upset about. Ask De Bruyne.

The coach welcomes have been happening at Liverpool for certain big games for a few years now. Intended as a way of showing support for the team and firing up the players. All passed without incident or publicity, even though cans have been lobbed at the opposition bus in the past. Some tit decided to put something on Twitter before the city game which caused hysterics before anything had even happened and led to things being blown out of proportion.

As for ignorance, everyone knew the Roma coach route and there were thousands there for it so you're wrong I'm afraid.
As expected. Never your fault is it?
Still thinks its only a few cans and a few morons who threw them.
I won't even start on the attacks on City fan coaches after the City fans scrupulously observed the Hillsborough anniversary before the game.
Liverpool really do have the highest number of twats amongst their nunber in English football.

It was out of action for 2 weeks afterwards, as we used a plain black coach for several games, and there was a fire on the roof, caused by some tw@t throwing a flare up there, more than one lit flares hit the coach. These coaches are built to withstand bricks and bottles (they shouldn't have to be but they are), and still it was out of action for 2 weeks, so you trying to play it down is just ridiculous.

Your fans, and your police are as bad as each other, the police advertising the route, and allowing people to stand on their van roofs (try that in the city centre on a Friday evening and see how long you stay there), and the idiots who threw stuff, with kids watching on too.

I hardly think it was out of action for two weeks, nothing on earth would cause it to be out for that long unless it was blown up.

Our fans have gone ott over it, their behaviour was disgraceful don’t get me wrong and I condone none of their actions. At the time I heard all sorts like terrorism etc. We are a sensitive bunch at the best of times. Never forgive them, never let them forget how scummy they are. My anger is more on the authorities and Liverpool for allowing it to happen from the off.

I’m still more bothered about their scum bags booing Ederson off when he had this injury:

than I am the coach window being smashed.

What kind of low life ****s do you have to be to boo someone needing oxygen on a stretcher after a tackle and injury like that?

Well I guess that is what Cogsy is saying. So at least you have one poster agreeing with you. The people on the coach were a bit OTT, swearing at the scrotes as hundreds of missiles bombarded them 2 hours before the match , you seem an expert on the repair times of attacked coaches though

I was actually at the Roma game and was stood about 100 yards from the attack. The crowds that welcomed the coaches had long dispersed by the time the Roma fans attacked.

There were plenty of Roma fans monitored all day and escorted to the ground. Some slipped the net. It happens.

There were about 10 police vans on the scene within a minute or 2 of it happening. It wasn't Liverpool fans fault the lad was attacked. To claim so is hysterical.

We will never agree but try to have a bit of perspective and put the tribal divisions to one side for a bit

Did I say it was Liverpool fans fault? No I didn’t. Don’t try and twist my post.

Regardless of what the Merseyside Police did or didn’t do, they lost that group of Ultras all the way from the city centre to Anfield. They must have past numerous police officers, individual officers, in groups, in cars, in vans, etc, and none of them picked up those Ultras, stopped them, held them until extra police officers arrived, and then escorted them to Anfield.

Why is it that GMP can escort 1000’s of European away fans from the city centre to the Etihad, German, Dutch, Italian, Greek, the lot. How come GMP can monitor those fans with Police on the ground, in the air, a helicopter, and via city centre CCTV, yet Merseyside Police can’t! Say want you want, defend Merseyside Police all you like, but they fucked up big time. Admit it. You know it.

So you were 100 yards from the Roma attack?? Where were the Police then? Where they invisible by there absence? There wasn’t a single Police Officer in those video’s. Again, too occupied with another coach welcoming party that had apparently finished? We aren’t talking half a mile, or a mile from the ground, we’re talking right at the back of the KOP. Let me give you a comparison. No Police officers outside the South Stand at the Etihad.

So 10 Police vans arrived 2 minutes after the attack. 2 minutes after. They weren’t there before or during the attack, only there afterwards when the Ultras had been chased off. Well that’s the least they could have done. Turn up after the incident was over. It was at that point that they probably caught up with the Ultras down the road and detained them. Too little, too late.

It’s you who should have a bit of perspective. You come across and act like a Scouser, blaming everyone but Liverpool fans and Merseyside Police. Yes, it was only a few cans and a few bottles. Yes, the Police were there in 2 minutes. Yes, but yes, but yes. No, but no! Liverpool fans and Merseyside Police fucked up. There’s no two ways about it. Gloss over it all you want, but as per with you lot there's always an excuse, no shame, no remorse, no responsibility, no blame, just excuses and denial.

I wonder what the excuse would have been if the City coach had ploughed into the Liverpool fans waiting to welcome (attack) the coach. Would it have been City’s fault? Would it have been the coach drivers fault? Would it have been the Police’s fault? Would it have been LFC’s and LCC’s fault? Or would it have been the fault of those Liverpool fans throwing bottles, cans and flares at the coach? Not a f***ing chance! ‘It’s never your fault’.

Can you explain why Merseyside Police haven’t made a single arrest yet after the coach attack? Apparently they’ve viewed the footage. It’s all on YouTube still. If I started throwing bottles, cans and flares at your car as you drove past me, and that attack on your car was posted on Youtube with my face visible, do you think I should be arrested or not?

Seriously, why don’t you piss off back to RAWK and take your excuses there. I’m sure you’ll have a sympathetic audience.

I didn't say that you said the attack was Liverpool fans fault, I was just referring to what had been suggested elsewhere - that the coach welcome meant police couldn't deal with the Roma hooligans and so Liverpool fans and police were responsible for it.

Of course Merseyside police fucked up with the Roma fans. They should have spotted that firm. They spotted almost all others and escorted them to the ground fine though. They had a tight grip of loads of them all day before the game. They usually manage things Ok, this one went wrong, they lost a mob that were trying to go under the radar and they should accept criticism for it. But, it can happen and the attack on the lad is nobody's fault but the lads that are up in court for it.

As for not accepting responsibility, I've acknowledged that the dickheads throwing bottles should be punished. I've said it's unacceptable and dangerous.

I don't know why anyone hasn't been arrested for it. It might have something to do with the fact that police don't know who threw a bottle? I've seen videos and I don't know. Do you? Show me the face of a bottle thrower if you can? I imagine they are hard to spot in the crowds.

I'm not saying Liverpool fans can do no wrong. I'm just trying to bring a bit of perspective.

And thanks but I'd rather be found dead in a ditch than go on rawk

We should write to the FA/prem bosses now and make it very clear that if there is a repeat of the coach attack we will drive away and fully demand we are awarded the points for the game, get legal on it as well and make it clear it is out of order and dangerous and we expect them to tell the dippers the consequences if their fans do it

I strongly disagree with that. The Roma coach wasn't attacked. I actually think it's a bit of a push to claim the city coach was attacked by the way. It had a few cans thrown at it which isnt a big deal and a couple of bottles by a handful of idiots which is clearly unacceptable but not the widespread attack everyone seems to paint it as.

The welcoming of the coaches happened 90 mins before kick off as the teams arrived. The Roma fans attacked behind the kop about 30 mins before kick off and it was over in moments. There was a heavy police presence there in seconds. They weren't marauding the streets for an hour.

Sitting on top of a police van to get a good view...lock them up!

And to suggest that it's the fault of Liverpool fans and Merseyside police for a lad almost dying and being put into a coma following an attack by Roma ultras clearly intent on violence is bizarre.

Football is tribal and we all have our biases but you're in danger of sounding hysterical. Too much faux outrage loses credibility

So you don't think Liverpool supporters throwing bottles, cans and flares at our coach constitutes it being attacked. I'm sure if the situation was reversed Liverpool fans and the club would be screaming for retribution.
Merseyside Police were complicit in the attack by publishing the route in response to a direct threat from Liverpool fans. Do they know publish the route for every team that plays at Anfield. Merseyside Police were also incompetent in their investigation of the attack the people responsible are regular match going fans who attend every game but despite loads of good quality footage identifying them and knowing where they would be at 3pm every other Saturday not a single arrest has been made.
As for it not being Liverpools fault by attacking our team coach you gave the Roma Ultras an excuse to get their retaliation in first so indirectly Liverpool fans contributed to the attack on the lad who was in a coma.

I agree with the last bit,the dippers brought violence and imtimidation into the CL,did they really expect the roma fans were not going to get there agro in first
