What would you consider to be a succesful season?

That's the starting point for me.

Setting yourself up for major disappointment then.

What about Aim for the stars reach the moon or aim for the moon and get to Skegness.

I'm just a bit concerned that too many on here are expecting total perfection but don't have the backbone to handle the potential that all may not be perfect ! :)

BTW that's not a dig at Gaudino at all.

I thought Q meant "Q"ualify

Qualification for the Champions League
Fighting for the title. If someone like Chelsea has a great season and wins it with over 90 points then fair enough, but we should challenge for the title again as we have strengthened over the Summer. Domestic Cups would be a bonus, but they owe a bit to luck

just to fight till the end, get as close to every final as possible and win what we can, the sky is the limit with this team whoever finishes ahead of us in any comp then they will of deserved it.

I think the minimum requirement is top three and get out of the group stage of the CL.

A good season would be challenging for the title 4-5 game to go. Quarter final plus in the CL and not to lose to someone we shouldn't in the domestic cups. e.g. a Wigan.

For the CL I think our mentality is similar as a team to before we beat Utd in the Cup semi-final. We're a great team and we have the capability to go far in the competition but we haven't yet for whatever reason got the belief. I think we need a big victory e.g. one of the favourites in the knockout stages to galvanise this belief in the squad and we could then with a bit of luck get to the semi or final.

Never understood how "aiming for the stars and reaching the moon" can be seen as anything positive. It equates to just 0.26% success rate*!

*Distance to moon = 238855 miles, distance to nearest star (the sun) = 92955807 miles

for me a good season would be Top two finish and a cup win

hopefully that equates to a Double a proper one as we have never done it

IE. Premier League and F.A. win

For me its beating the rags home and away 24-0 on aggregate. Then they get relegated and all sponsors withdraw . They have 3 managers in the 2014/15 season before re-appointing Davis Moyes. A fire at Old Trafford means they have to re-locate to Huyton with a capacity of 9127..
Oh and we are crowned Champions ...again.
