I have, literally, hundreds of books I’ve yet to read but can’t wait until I get to read John Burridge’s. If you can read the first bit then do (it may give that part on Amazon). It is truly hilarious.

They reckon when he played with Hibs someone shat in his crash helmet when he left it on his motorbike at Waverley station car park.:>)

Just bought Alex Williams’ book. The title alone is a work of genius. Looking fwd to reading it on my holidays.
Ps. Top man is Alex.

Think I remember Halifax beating rags in this in the early 70s, same day we had a friendly at Port Vale
I remember that friendly at Port Vale well, and indeed one at Doncaster the following week, when all our players looked like the hunchback of Notre Dame (heart monitors, and various medical equipment strapped on there backs!)

met and got autograph of Alex in players lounge when I was a kid - overcome with how massive he was and startled by his knuckles being scuffed to fuk obviously as his massive hands are very dark black but load of pink where there was no skin! What a top bloke he is

Just getting stuck into this about Rochdale FC and a particularly bad season in the mid 70s.

I've not read that many football books, normally find me reading a horror novel or a history book, but I'm currently reading The Blueprint and I have Onuoha's book in my kindle library to read too.

I enjoyed Jack Charlton's auto biography that was really good.

As for non fiction I've just finished "Vengenence" by George Jonas.

Its the true story about the about the 1972 Munich Olympic Games killings and the respose from the Mossad counter terroist team hunting down the PLO agents responsible.

The book was the basis of the 1980's TV movie "The Sword Of Gideon" and the film "Munich", although the book goes into a lot more detail and covers more events A great read though, pity it's not on Kindle.

For books of fiction I love the Lincoln Rhyme books by Jeffrey Deaver. Only one of those novels has been turned into a film "The Bone Collector".

Once I start reading them thay are real page turners with loads of twists in them.
