What's the best mind-blowing movie twist of all time? Spoiler alerts as standard!

The Julie Christie/Donald Sutherland movie "Don't Look Now". At the start they are involved in a hot steamy sex session indoors while their toddler daughter, wearing a red plastic raincoat, accidentally drowns in the back garden pond. To escape guilt and the tragedy they take a work assignment in Venice (Sutherland is an architect restoring an ancient church). He is plagued by sightings of a fleeing short figure in a red plastic coat (his daughter's ghost?). On cornering the figure Sutherland is slashed in the throat by a demented psychotic dwarf, responsible for several earlier murders.

Another I remember - not really mind-blowing, more of a shocking twist - was Kill List with the brilliant Neil Maskell.

In The Dark Knight Rises where Miranda Tate stabs Batman whilst revealing she's Talia Al Ghul. Good stuff :-)
Her death scene was laughably bad.

Oldboy, Shutter Island, Se7en, Fight Club, Primal Fear, Jacob’s Ladder, The Prestige, Memento, The Game and Identity all had good twists.

Lol, and er, can you explain it please Bill?!
(I genuinely don’t have a Scooby with that one!)
I did work it out after I watched it about 5 years ago but I've kinda forgotten. You have to really concentrate on most David Lynch films though. It's a brilliant film imo. Made by a master.
Here is a little video I found.

The Vanishing (The 1988 version) is also a great one, won't spoil it here

What a brilliant film it is. I recommend this as a film everyone must watch. A masterpiece in suspense even though you know what is going on.

That remake with Jeff Bridges and Sandra's Bollocks is just inept and trashy. Belongs in the worst movie thread.
