Probably Tony Adcocks winner in our 1-0 win at Millwalls old Den, sometime around the eighties

....... about 500 of us were penned in the far end and it was didfficult to see what Adcock was up to as he latched on to a loose ball , it appeared to loop high into the air and catch the Millwall keeper bycomplete surprise as it suddenly dipped into the net behind him .... it was one of those goals that seemed to take an age to happen , and it caught both sets of fans on the hop ..... most of us were only aware we had actually scored once we saw Adcock jumpin' around like a lunati celebrating!

And then people banging on the sliding door, at the back of the stand, demanding to be let out, while the Millwall fans were making their way past. While praying inside that they keep us in for at least an hour.

hehe .....

yeah , that sounds about right !
Good goal , just a strange time delay reaction from the fans.

I remember their third goal being lucky where it rebounded of the post and went in off Given's back/head.

Their third was a thunderbolt into the top left hand corner was it not?
I'm pretty sure it was as well. Typical, I thought as it flew in!

Yeah your right, their third was a screamer. Don't have a clue what game i'm thinking off then or if it even happend, im losing it.

At Maine road in the 60s/70s I once saw Bob Wilson the ball to the right back who caught it to give City a penalty. Don't know what he thought he was doing.

Was it Pat Rice early 70`s and I also remember in the 60`s Harry Dowd scoring after hurting/breaking his hand and having to play as an outfield player

Their first is the one you're on about mate, at the end where we were sat. I remember Silva missed an absolute sitter at the same end when it was 2-1.

Ronnie Boyce scoring West Hams 4th v us in 1970.

Pissed it down all day, got beat 5-1 at home. I'm stood behind the goal leaning on the wall applauding him scoring, can't believe it was sarcastic applause as I was only 8, though I did hate Corrigan at the time as he fucked up nearly every game.

David White scoring 4 at Villa away. Sure 3 of them were from outside the area.

I attended that match, wednesday evening as I recall, Whitey scored some scorchers that night, i think it was 1-4 or 1-5 to the blues!!

Whitey scord a bizzare goal at Maine Rd, can't remember who against now but the opoosition goal keeper thought the ref had blown for a foul against City, passed the ball to Whitey and he just banged the ball in the net from about 25 yards and the goal stood, seem to remember us scoring a hatfull that day too!!!....Happy days!

White's goal v Luton when goalie kicks it to him.

Adrian Heath scored. That's pretty obscure.
