Ah, gay Paris. I'll never forget that weekend Nijinsky.

Mais oui,mon ami.
The bright lights of the Champs Elysees, the vintage Dom Perignon, the satin sheets, the reconstructional starfish surgery.
But we were so young and foolish then,gsc...

That was a lifetime ago, the heady buzz of the nightclub when you span me around on the dancefloor... they are just memories. I am happy as a housewife in suburbia now, such frivolousness could never happen again.

Pair of heartless bastards.

True,oh so true.
Now it's just a quick handjob in the alley off Sackville Street whilst BimboBob holds the poppers.
Baby baby - where did our love go?

If you look at Manchester on a map, draw a horizontal line through the city center. Everything North of the line you should rule out. Some people on here will big up where they live, but I'm being honest with you. North Manchester is a dump. The good places south of the City are Didsbury, West Didsbury, Altrincham, Sale, Hale, Bowdon, Lymm, Wilmslow, Bramhall, Poynton, Macclesfield, Alderly Edge, Marple and Glossop.

You forgot Urmston.
you forgot Flixton :)

Very posh, but you forgot Stretford.(I'm joking the only good thing to come from Stretford is Stretford Mall and that's only half-decent.

What was the verdict on redcafe?

No point asking there, most of them couldnt find Manchester on a map never mind been to the City.

If I was moving over I would be looking at Sports City, short tram ride to the city centre, asda accross the car park good road links and MCFC on the doorstop, why i could turn the TV on from the East Stand spirals

If I was allowed to drop one bomb it would be on Stretford "Mall"
Perma-tanned teens in pyjamas and Ugg boots not do it for you?

Back to the OP...

I don't think there is a "nicest" part, all areas have their good and bad bits

Sure, Didders is really nice, but it's also ridiculously pricey, and you still have a bloody good chance of having someone break in and nick your Merc from your driveway at night. It might seem nice, but insurance premiums are still as high as everywhere else. And it's full of twats. Don't forget, some of the neighbouring parts of Burnage and the Heatons are a shithole filled with right scumbags, and all the top dog organised criminals live in Didsbury, and they will employ said scumbags to do their dirty work in the local area. South-west of the Parrs Wood complex alongside Kingsway is probably the best area of the lot as it's surrounded on all sides and thus a bit more secluded.

For me, I always pick the nicest street in a shit area. Cheap house prices and it's nice enough to live there. I bought a house in Moss Side and literally two streets along is the crack capital of the area. My street has lots of families and no prossies or crack dens. It's all right. Apart from one very strange incident on the day I moved in, I've never been burgled, mugged, hassled, or even talked to by anyone who was remotely unfriendly. And I've left the back door wide open all day once (forgot to close it). Generally don't tend to get people breaking into houses there in case it's a drug den and they get shot.

I would never, ever again live in Longsight.

Even Falllowfield/Withington is improving slightly as students are moving into town, but it's still burglary central.

I am aiming to move to Chorlton (Brantingham Road area) as it's OK and still not too expensive. I have a feeling the Metrolink will artificially raise prices around there though.

Didn't realise that still existed; I had a curry from there when I was 8-9 and hated it, so have avoided it since then.

Paradise is where it's at.

I lived on Hamilton Road for 2 years so those takeaways were regularly used when I couldn't be bothered to cook. Was the Paradise on the opposite side of the road to the Blue Moon or was that the Mirage? One used to do a chicken kebab to die for.

God, that street brings back some memories. Did my last year of primary school at St Robert's, just round the corner on Montgomery Road.
